I posted a digi layout over on the SDV Orlando August 27 -30 2009 thread, page 29, #426. I want to give a big thank you to Lapdogs42 for her Disney template. First time I used it, so much fun to do, and I love how it came out. Thanks!

Caitsmama-Thanks! I always look at others' LOs to get inspiration, so I'm glad I helped inspire you a bit! I've been wondering where you've been! :)

Lauren-Thanks :) I just did a quick search for the blog, and it seems to be gone. :( BTW, any chance you're going to the podcast DIS-a-paloza in December?

disneylonghorn-Thanks! I was searching for them for years, I was so glad to finally find them! I only have 4 more LOs to do for that trip (just did 2 more last night, I'll try to post tomorrow.) I'm trying to finish the trip ASAP so I can get the book printed (I have a code that expires, I think, Tues.)

No, I don't think we're going to make it. Such a bummer! But we're doing the 1/2 marathon in Jan, so we have to save our WDW pennies. Are you going? I can't wait to see your LOs if you are!

Hey ladies...

I'm a TOTAL newbie here. Been scrapping for like 8 yrs or so, but the old fashion way....cutting, pasting! Never done anything digitally except a photobook of our 10th anniversary vacation which I did on the kodak gallery website. Other than that I have NO idea how to do anything digitally. Are you guys going to website? buying computer software? If printing them out yourself, how are you doing it on 12x12 paper? Sorry if these questions sound stupid, this way is just so new to me. We're going to Disney for the first time in another month and don't want to cut/paste that whole album myself. I was figuring I'd find some website w/ Disney backgrounds to upload my pics to and l'd print some books that way. Anyone have any advice to send my way? please?!:flower3:

Clupaczyk - I'm a digital newbie, too. I just started in April. I use Photoshop Elements 7. I haven't printed anything yet, though I think I remember someone saying you could have Costco print it? ScrapMatters has a lot of Disney-inspired elements... you can tell there are some big Disney fans there. :) Each of the designers seem to have their own blogs, too - If you look at their blogs, they have (still available) some awesome freebies!

Here are a few I haven't posted on this thread yet. Click for credits

Here are some of my more recent layouts:

Squishy!

Jolly Holiday with Mary - For the DIS Digi Challenge #72

Memories of Junior High - For the My Story Matters challenge at SM. They are super fun and you should all do them! ;) :)

I've been trying to get my Gettysburg ones done before we go again in about a week!

New York Auxillary Monument - Speed Scrap #146 at SM

Courage under fire - Speed Scrap #148 at SM

Behind the stone wall - For a word up challenge at SM

The Eyes of the Army - Speed Scrap #149 at SM

A Soldier's Grave - When I saw the tree in Chelle's new kit, I was reminded of this photo by Alexander Gardner after the battle of Antietam. I can't wait to go back to Antietam!

Always Believe

Bliss - Photo from my parent's wedding

Hanging Out - Melinda and I with our good friend Jaime

The year was . . . - For the Past Matters challenge from August at SM

Love and Cats - These are mine and Melinda's cats: Draco and Isis (siblings - 8 years old), Morgana (7 years old), Cassiopeia (3 years old), Sam and Syd (siblings - 3 years old), Addy, Chunky Monkey, Sadie, and Wednesday (probably 2-3 months old). The four youngest are the ones Melinda rescued recently. Actually all but three of them were rescued from life outside. Sam and Syd are my brother's cats, which are living with us because he can't have them were he is living and he didn't want to leave them with the ex-wife where they would have been neglected and mistreated. So in other words, we're well on the way to being crazy ladies! :lmao:

Thanks for your reply. I think I know what I'm going to do and it probably isn't something that a lot of women here would do since it doesn't fall under scrapbooking. I'm just going to have so many pics to handle and w/ a 5 and 6 y/o I don't have an abundance of time....so instead of scrapping my own Disney album I'm going to cave and pre-order the photopass CD, then upload my own pics on it too. I'll do my fancy Disney borders on that, order it, then use those pics w/ fancy borders to place in a Kodak or Shutterfly album (since they don't have Disney backgrounds available). I think my problem is solved. This doesn't have to be super nice, just easy and something my children will love to look at. I still need to keep up w/ my regular scrapping of our daily lives! Thanks so much for all of your info though. Have fun!

Two more from my '85 trip. I'd like to finish the album this weekend, but I doubt it, lol.

Wasn't sure if I was going to scrap these Small World pics since there's no pics of us, it's not really different than pics from now, and most of the pics are low quality (all but 2 were taken with a disk film camera.) But, since it was my favorite ride during the trip, I figured it didn't hurt to scrap it. :) (And I still love it today, I'm totally a kid at heart!) I normally don't repost DISboards challenges here, but since it's a continuation of this small book, I'm posting it, lol.

I really loved this ride too. I know it has completely changed since then (and there's lots of debate about that!), so I haven't even gone on it again in my current trips. Maybe I'll try it in december. BTW, the symbol Figment is pointing to is the symbol the used for the ride (they don't use any of the old symbols anymore, but I thought it would be a good thing to add.)

Yes! We originally planned to go the 13-20 (my bday is the 19th, otherwise we would have left earlier since the last 2 days are peak season, eek!) Then we decided to add a few days to see Universal & Sea World (never been to Universal, been to Sea World once, well, you can see the LO! ;)), so the 9-12 we were going to stay at Universal. Then the DAP dates came out, and we were so excited! We had figured our luck, we'd just miss it! And we did the trip through Dreams, so we'll definitely be there. :D I'm getting antsy waiting for more details! But I can't wait to ride TSM over, and over, and over!!!

Anyway, so then we decided to just stay at Disney for the full trip instead (we weren't renting a car, and knew we'd have to be at Disney during that time period now.) So we're staying at Pop from 9-12, and Boardwalk (decided to splurge for my bday, and wanted to try a resort where we could get to at least one park without the bus!) 13-20.

I still know nothing really about Universal, I haven't done a thing for that planning, lol. And I haven't looked at Sea World stuff since last year, when were going to go!

There's my long answer to your question. :P That's too bad you can't make it! I'm hoping there's someone there I know, since I really only know you guys here on this section of the board. I only post here and there on other parts of the board!

I finally - after a loong time, have some layouts to share!! I just got my copy of Stampin' Up's new Digi software - My Digital Studio (being released in Oct, but as a demo, i can get my copy a month early!) it's a program that is an all in one, (i would assume similar to CM) OR they will be selling downloads separately (off demo's websites) - which ROCKS! and i wanted to see what it can do :) So, here is what i have done today, going back to simple and quick..

Hi! I am new to the boards and relatively new to digiscrapping. There are so many wonderful layouts for inspiration!

Caits: Look at you go! How did the planning go with Barbara? I'm so jealous! LOL

Welcom to the Dis and our little part of it! :flower3:

Caitsmama - Glad to see you back! We've missed all your great layouts!

Caitsmama-Yay, glad you're back to scrapping :)

Another for my '85 album

Here are 2 non Disney ones I've done the last few days. I've been wanting to scrap these pics for ages, a challenge finally got me to do it. Didn't I used to be cute? ;)

I already scrapped this pic of my mom, but I thought it was too cute not to use again for this LO ;)

Here's another one I did last night.

Wow, such fantastic layouts have been posted recently! Here are a few that I don't think I've posted yet. For the first one, my educator DD went to Space Camp this summer and had a ball!

This is one of my heritage layouts. It's a photo of my grandparents and the little girl on the right is my mother.
