Digital Scrapbooking with Mac

Hi! I'm just getting started in scrapbooking and am interested in trying to do some things digitally. Can anyone out there point me to scrapbooking software that will work with a Mac? I am using an iBook. Tell me the pros and cons about digital scrapping. TIA!

I use Photoshop,mostly because it's what I am used to. Elements is probably about as good (for a lot less $$$) for scrapbooking purposes.

Mac's Aperture may also be good and GIMP is not too bad, especially for the price ($0). I don't follow Macs and am not sure if GIMP is available for them or not.

Cons of digital scrapbooking:
you can do *so* much it is hard to decide when to call it a wrap.
it probably takes longer than cut * paste.

Pros:
you can do *so* much more then cut & paste; faded backgrounds, an incredible number of fonts, custom maps, perfect sizing of your photos, cutout shape options, layers, etc

and the best, unlimited resizing and repositioning of items.
