Digital Scrapbooking Tips for a Newbie

Hey everyone.

So for my parents for Xmas I am making digital scrapbooks of all of our Disney trips (something like 12 or 13 different trips). However, I am totally new at this whole scrapbooking thing. After lurking around here a bit, I've seen I need pages and the like, the pictures, and a place to print from. I have all of this. Now the hard part, designing it. I have seen some amazing layouts on here. I can't figure out where to start on designing though. Are there any tips on how to start or designing tips you have?

Oh I've got a program to design on too...

Hi there --- If you have a program and know how to use it, then that's half the battle. As far as designing, there are endless possibilities.... You'll need to buy some kits to work with or find some freebies... When I first started, I copied other people's layouts a lot (scraplifting )... It really helped me develop my style and learn different techniques, etc. I'd just find some LOs you love and try to duplicate the "look" -- even if you use different papers and embellishments... there are lots of LOs around here.... there is also a Disney Flickr group -- I think there are 600+ LOs posted.....
