I'm buying a gift for my SIL's baby shower (she is due in September). She is not registered, they don't live in state, and they are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise. So it limits what I can buy for them, I really don't want to go the giftcard route. So I thought maybe the scrapbooking software would be a creative gift idea.

They own a Mac. Does anyone have any experience with a good scrapbooking program. I've looked online and there are alot of different options but few reviews on the different programs. I would love some opinions.

Macs tend to be what professional graphic designers use. I really like Photoshop. I use Photoshop 7.0, but Photoshop Elements is cheaper and just as good. And there is a Photoshop Elements for Macintosh:

Photoshop can be a bit intimidating at first, but there is a lot that you can do with it. There are also a lot of wonderful sites with really good tutorials on how to do different things. I know there are a lot that like Paint Shop Pro, but IMO it doesn't compare with what Photoshop can do. I've never been impressed wtih Paint Shop Pro, but that is JMO and I've used both programs. I started out using PSP and it was OK, but once I got Photoshop I was hooked and loved it and have used it ever since.
