Hi All!!

I'm trying to figure out how to use my digital camera for the whole week without buying more memory sticks. I know Eckerd's will transfer pictures from memory stick to CD, but what about somewhere at the parks? We'll be at Disney from early morning till late evening on most days. And, Eckerd's hours are, I believe, 9-7pm.

Thanks,
Holly:earsgirl:

I splurged and bought a larger memory card, which now holds about 100 pictures. Also, I am planning on bringing my laptop in order to upload the pictures at the hotel. If possible, you might want to consider this option. :sunny:

Do you have, or can you borrow a laptop that you can upload your pictures into nightly? We had to buy a new computer and bought a laptop so we could do this - it's an HP and the memory card plugs in directly to the computer.

There are CD burning kioks at a couple locations within WDW. I believe they are located in the Kodak locations (Main St. in WDW and MGM).

Nope, don't have a laptop. That, of course, would be ideal. I do have 2 memory sticks...256MB each. I've estimated this to hold 204 pictures at the setting I prefer. This sounds like a lot, but I know it won't last me all 9 days.

Thanks for the kiosk info!! That's just what I was hoping to hear.:teeth: Now, I'll do some searching to find out exactly which parks have these Kodak shops.

We just got back, we had 2 memory cards 256, i only used one. I took 145 pictures in 6 days. The great thing is is that you can delete the ones you dont like right away so that saves you space.

I personally can't do less than 100 pics per day! Sometimes when I get going, it was more like 100 pics per half day. My laptop is such a huge lifesaver for me.

However, there are places you can burn it on a CD. I believe the Kodak store on the right side as you enter MK does it. Also the camera store near the Epcot entrance.

If you have a rental car, you can go to a 24hr walgreens.

Walgreens is open 24hrs?? That sounds really good. Do you know if their photo lab is open all night as well?

We are staying off property and will have a rental car. This would work out great.

I'm trying to find out if each of the parks have a photo shop to transfer to a CD, but am not having much luck. If MK has one for sure, that would be good. I will be at Epcot on our 2nd day and MK on our 3rd and 5th days. This should be okay.

I was interested in Walgreen's photo lab hours (at a 24hr store) so I just called one near the Marriott where we will be staying AND....

the do usually have a photo tech working until Midnight. Yea! Now, I can plan on taking as many pics as I want!
Thanks for everyone's help.

There's a Walgreens on 535 that's open 24 hours, and I believe they advertise that their photo service is also open 24 hours

There are actually a couple on 535 and one on International Drive that will only be about 2 miles from the Marriott. This will be very easy to take care of after everyone has gone to bed....or even right after the park. The photo tech I spoke to said that it only takes a couple of minutes to burn a cd. Thanks for everyones help!

After reading all your posts, I am so very glad we didn't buy a digital. When our 35mm camera died on us, I went to buy another 35mm. Funny, when the salesperson tried to talk me into buying digital and I wasn't NOT going for it, he had NO interest in helping me! Well, I ended up buying 35mm from someone else....he lost my sale (& the commission to go along with it...)
But, a year ago when our video camera died, we set out to purchase a new digital one. Well, a feature of the videocamera is that you can take digital still pictures with it..... we bought the memory stick for it (we bought the smallest amount of memory for it) and found out it holds about 600 pictures! After reading all the trouble about enough space on digital cameras, I am so very glad we didn't get that digital camera instead of my 35mm. Now, DH is in charge of videotaping and digital pictures and I take charge of my 35mm. We were very surprised how our pictures came out....some better with digital, some better with 35mm........
Anyway, sorry to ramble...............:( You all just made me realize how much money I saved by NOT buying a digital camera!! Thanks!
