Right now I'm plinking around with a point and shoot Canon SD100 and thinking about moving into SLR. I took photography in high school and really enjoy it.

What does everyone else use?

I have an Olympus Stylus 600 and I love it! The LCD screen is HUGE and I like all the features (even though I haven't figured them all out yet :teeth: )

I use a compact digital camera- an Olympus. I love it. So far I have taken almost 2000 pictures on it (almost all at Disney :teeth: ).

I have a Kodak EasyShare CX 7330. It's pretty basic, but it suits my purposes well. :)

I've gotten pretty seriously into photography, and currently shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT, which is Canon's consumer (as opposed to professional) market dSLR. Very nice camera, and although I use some of the advanced features, I still don't feel that I know it well enough to use full manual mode.

I have a Sony DSC-W5. I love it. I did not want to get an Olympus camera because the videos are in quicktime.

I'm thinking about getting a Nikon Coolpix S4.

i just use disposable cameras, regular ones cost too much.

Unfortunately I take too many pictures to use disposable cameras. On my CP I took almost 2000 pictures! Now, say that each disposable has 30 pictures (on average). Well, I think you can do the math! Let's just say it is s LOT cheaper to use a digital then disposable (but that's just me).

i go through like 2 disposables a year.

anyone have any luck with no small, bright spots in the picture while taking it at night?

those are ghosts, haven't you ever watched those shows, like spirit orbs or some goofy **** like that.

Not really. I have a LOT of issues with taking night pictures. For some reasons, my camera doesn't do well with moving objects at night (think Spectro and night Cinderellabration). Very few pictures usually come out.

I have a Nikon Coolpix - I adore it. It is so small and compact and easy to carry around. I was abroad last fall so it was a major lifesaver. I find I can get very good night pictures as long as I have something to anchor the camera with. Don't need a tripod just the back of a bench or something along those lines (unless of course you have a much studier hand that i do). Love my camera though, gives me amazing pictures!

Joanna, I actually got a pretty good Spectro picture.

Still some motion blur. I can't help it when they wave :teeth:

Fish ... i think the small bright spots may be camera noise, added by the camera sensor. There's software that can be had reasonably affordably that will reduce or eliminate noise ... Noise Ninja is one, I know there are others.

Here's one of mine
