Digital Photo station

Do'nt know if this is new news however -

Disney have installed a digital photo station in the Fantsia shop in the contempory resort. It takes digital photos from all the main cards and either prints at 69cent a photo or burns them onto CDR for $12. The CM I spoke to said that this was the second machine and they are rolling them out to all the resorts (the other one is in Epcot) He stated that the CD held 110 photos which is a bit strange but may be down to the all in one machine as oppsed to the size of the CD.

Having the laptop with me I have not tried the DPS.

Whilst that sounds great if you have no transport, it is still considerably cheaper offsite. In January we paid $4 for a CD holding 100 shots at a WAlgreens in Kissimmee

Is that $12 regardless of the size of your memory card?

There is also one at the exposition hall at Magic Kingdom. The $12 for the CD is for as many images as the CD will hold.....depending on the resolution of the images and size of your memory card will determine how many images will fit on one CD.

What resolution were you taking your pics, using a digi camera ?

i.e Basic / Normal / High.

I got around 80 high res pics on a 64 meg card. I took two 64 megs and an old 16m I had. My camera is Fuji Finepix 2800. I was put off using a 128m as I have heard loads of reports of these failing after around 100 pics, hence I took 2 64s instead. There are now loads of places to download to CD (Wal-mart for example) so I didnt feel the need to buy loads of cards anyway.

can they do this from xd cards as well?
