Digital Membership Cards?

Well, our problem is ours just says DVC. There's no Y. Which there should be bit there is not. We are also Disney visa card holders and it also doesnt say DVIC so people like us are just out if luck? Doesn't seem quite right or fair
No, my point was addressing those people up thread who flat out state they're not going to try to load the card, they don't want to carry a smart phone, or they don't see a need to show anything other than what THEY think is appropriate. I never said that people who are having trouble loading the card or who are experiencing a technical glitch are out of luck. If I did, point it out and I'll fix it right away. Pretty sure I said "those who simply won't do it based on "principle" or stubbornness." and I was specifically addressing the concern that MICKIMINI had expressed.
 
It shows the exclusive pass when it mentions being able to choose an exclusive one for members.

Is that where it's located now? When I added mine it had its own category (located above the ears styles) so I just assumed they didn't properly show it. I also don't want to try and see for myself because when I tried messing around with different pass styles, both the AP and DVC ones disappeared and I had to do the remove pass/phone number trick (and don't want to do it again).
 
Mine still says DVC ND, but says ANNUAL even though we haven’t had an AP since early 2020 and actually got reimbursed for most of it. So I guess I’ll just use the AP discount if they don’t fix the DVC grandfathered glitch. Disney manages things like this much like governments do, ie poorly.

Yeah, mine is showing the correct affiliation so I don't want to mess with it either. Keeping my Y.

Oh no, sorry, i didnt mean to make it sound like you said that. I was just saying that basically people who have loaded it already and it is not the correct info..it makes it that much more difficult. It was really more just a rhetorical statement..sorry

I looked at the screenshots many have posted and all mine shows is “guest name” and the next row says “ID”. I have no “affiliation” above my QR code.

so frustrating!!! MS was not helpful. Couldnt Resolve it.
 
I'll be curious to see what happens to all the folks in the "This is what I'm showing them, and they'll just have to like it" crowd when Disney tells them they don't like it...
Or what happens to the “I literally can’t do it because I don’t have that technology” crowd.

Try removing the card from your wallet. Then remove your phone number(s) from MDE, then add them back, then try adding Magic Mobile again.

This is the same for me, too. No matter how many times I’ve tried the removing card from wallet, adjusting phone numbers in MDE trick… I just can’t get the affiliations to show.

It sounds like you are talking about one of my comments. To be fair, you are taking it out of context. I didn’t say people would do it out of stubbornness, and it’s not because of “entitlement” like you said in another comment. It’s because I know several people who have had things in their Apple Wallet hacked, and others on this thread said the same thing. It’s not some “wild hair” thing that I just decided to be difficult about. It’s because the Apple Wallet security is…how should I say…not the best.

Another option I considered that might work is to add it into Apple Wallet, take a screen shot of the affiliation page, then delete it from Apple Wallet. Then show the screen shot to get the discount. Maybe that would work for those that don’t want to keep it loaded in Apple Wallet? I have no idea.

That is what I am going to test next week. But, given that there are still glitches, IMO, we may see some leeway this month because it was said by MS it could take a few weeks to get it all fixed.

Since I also have to renew my AP, we will see what I need to show for that.

did you check your MDE profile and make sure your affiliations arein your MDE account. Are you using your MDE account and do you have your own dvc account. There are some folks who are trying to get cards loaded who are trying to use their spouses account. That’s a no go. Every dvc member needs their own account and every dvcmember needs their own MDE account. Also the phone fix worked for me. Just remember your phone number is listed twice. Close, then reopen. Once you put your cell number back in you should receive a text with your code to accept the change.

Thank you! I am using my MDE account, my own DVC account, and my DVC and MDE are linked and my DVC affiliation shows in my MDE profile. For some reason, no matter how many times I do the phone number fix that another member posted, it just won’t show my affiliations. I’ve tried multiple times, but the only thing the phone number fix did was to show the DVC magic mobile pass card style (and also… remove it sometimes from being a selection 😂). Disney IT doesn’t seem to be my friend lately lol.

For those of us old enough to remember, it's like people sitting in their cars steadfastly refusing to pump their own gas because gas stations always did that for you (and checked your oil and tire pressure, and washed your windows too). Unless you live in Oregon or Jersey, you pump your own gas and life goes on.
I get it (if you were referring to my rant). We all have smartphones in the house (and know how to use them) because we need them for work ... that's why I'd like a vacation from it. I thought the magic band was a good compromise and we carried our DVC and AP cards for discounts. I don't see why we couldn't still do that. I'd be ok if they only sent cards on demand and let those who want to carry their phones do so.

It's not the same as pumping gas. Work doesn't harass me through the gas pump (yet). And I'm not trying to get any bennies I'm not entitled to or avoid showing proof -- what I'm not happy with is the fact that the only 'proof' now is carrying around my phone (same reason I'm unhappy with the new way to book FPs).

I admit it's my issue but I can't be alone in wanting a break from my phone on vacation. It's a pain to have to sell the DVC points, but we'll find someplace else to go. Lots of places out there where we can still completely disconnect for a while on vacation ...

I selected member card and had no affiliations and the next day all my correct ones were there.

That’s good to know, thanks! It’s been a few days over here and they still haven’t shown up, but I’m going to give the phone number fix another round (or 10) today and maybe it will work this time! Or show up a few days after this attempt! :)
 
It’s all about getting the wallet to sync back to the app. Changing data “should” force that sync. To fair to Disney (sorta), there are other cards in my wallet that refuse to update as they should: Starbucks, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors. Not exactly an amateur hour list.
