Is there digital film developing machines in the parks? I only have two memory cards and see no need for more if there is developing in the parks or resorts. thanks :wizard:

Help....this is really important, anybody know the answer. I called the Wdisney line and they could not give me an answer that made sense!! thanks :wizard:

I have heard that you can have your pictures burnt to a cd at the photo shop of each park, but I have never noticed any printing stations.

Ok I handle burning to a cd. Then I can delete pics on camera to make room for more! Of course I will have that CD protected completly! If I can't get a definate on the chance of these machines in the parks maybe I will check into off site pharmacy/allpurpose stores that have those machines by the dozens! :badpc:

not to be a downer, but...

I remember a thread where someone had their pix transfered to a CD at the Disney kiosk and erased the card. Turns out the CD was no good. Pictures were lost.

If you don't have a transfer method that YOU control, buy more memory. It's relatively cheap - compact flash, 256 mb, don't spend more than $35. SD don't pay more than $45 for 256 mb.

You don't have to drive around town looking for a download and after vacation you have a memory card to keep.

I also recall the ruined CD thread.

The problem with printing your pics and erasing the card is you lose the original files. That means you can't go back later and crop, edit, reprint, etc.

For the pretty low cost, I think it makes more sense to buy another card. Chances are it will come in handy again in the future. I've got 2 256MB cards which gets me over 500 shots and I'm planning to buy another before our cruise in March. I'm just waiting as long as I can because the prices continue to drift down. By then, I'll probably be able to get a 512MB card for about $50.

I am not a fan of big memory cards. If anything should happen to the card or you lose it you lose a lot more pictures.

I have quite a few 128 and 256 cards. JMHO

Thanks for pointing out the cd problem!! Yikes!! Also why can't you edit pics off a cd? I have never had problems w/ my photo program on my mac editing pics off a cd. Thanks again for letting me know the possible problems w/ the cd option. Augh....all I want to do is print the stupid things!! LOL :badpc:

I was not referring to burning a CD. I was referring to just printing your photos on vacation and erasing the card. If all you bring home is prints, then you can't edit, reprint (other than scanning), etc. Yes, if you burn a CD then you can edit or do whatever else with the files.
