I got my Kodak 3.1 MP about 3-4 years ago. Whenever we take photos that are using the zoom, the further away we are the more blurry the photo. It's almost like what it he point of having a zoom if it's going to be blurry... any advice? It's suppose to be auto focus, simple point and shoot... I wanted to get a new camera but does'nt look like we'll have money before the trip.

No clue what the problem is but I have a 4.1mp Kodak LS443 that does the same thing. It worked fine for about a year (just long enough to be out of warranty  ) but several months ago it started doing what you're describing. :confused3 I replaced it with a Sony. We'll see how it works out.

What model of Kodak do you have? Is the zoom optical or digital? If the zoom is a digital zoom then it's crap. Digital zoom is useless because it just takes the image and blows it up, in which case you start to see the pixels.

If it's optical, one thing about zoom - the longer the zoom the more susceptible it is to shaking - which is why camera companies created image stabilization. If you are going to use the zoom, then try to steady yourself as much as possible, take a deep breath and start counting to three while exhaling. Press the shutter when you're on 2...
