Digital camera question

I'm thinking of buying a digital camera for my first trip to DW. First of all, I know nothing about cameras, so be gentle lol. My question is do you have to download the pictures once the disc (or whatever it's called) is full or can you insert a blank one. I don't have a laptop to take with me for downloading.

you can buy several memory cards and just replace them when yours is full.

batteries are so small and inexpensive now that you can change them out the same way.

If you go to a Best Buy type store or check online at sites like www.ecost.com or www.buy.com check out the costs for 128 and 256 meg cards. They are really inexpensive. Buy several.
