We're going Dec 15-22 with DD-6 and DS-4. I would like to get a digital camera for them to use, especially DS as he is going on a Pirate Adventure and we will not be able to get pics of it otherwise. So, any suggestions?

I've seen several kids cameras at Wal-Mart, but they seem almost too cheap ($19) and none in that price range have a card slot - they will hold up to 120 pics, but I'm afraid the kids will fill that up on the trip down!! We will not have any way of downloading the pics until we return home. Also, I can't imagine anything that cheap has a decent picture quality.

My other thought is to just get a bunch of one-time use cameras and have them "developed" onto CD instead of printing them all out. That way, we can just print what we want (or what is legible  ).

Other ideas? What have you done in the past? I need something VERY easy to use, again especially for DS.

What we used to do for our DS when he was in the 3-5 yr. range was buy some of the one-time disposable cameras at home and take them with us (they are really pricey on WDW property) and then get the disc once home. Most of the pictures were of the ground, his feet, etc. so having the cd of the photos was the way to go. We are buying him a real digital camera this year for Christmas that was just a little more expensive than the Fisher Price ones or other "kid" cameras.

The "kid" cameras take photos that are an ok quality to send in emails but if you want to actually print any of them out in a 4"x6" format, or larger, they are going to be very poor quality. If you want to get your DS a 'real' digital camera you can usually find a 5 megapixel camera for about the same amount of money. But at age 4 I think I'd stick with the disposable ones and that way if he should drop it into the water while on the pirate cruise it isn't a major loss.

Hope he has a blast!

Our 3 yr old has the fisher price kid tough camera and we love it! it takes an SD card (which are quite cheap now) By the time we erase all the bad pictues he always has room to take more pictures.

When you are at WDW they have photo stations where you can download your pics and burn them to a disk... you can NOT print that these stations thou.

Have fun!
