Digital Camera Anyone?

My husband and I are thinking about taking the plunge and getting a digital camera and a printer. We have no idea what to buy? Any recommendations?

It depends on what looking for in a camera. Right now I shopping to replace my digital camera that die. I have fall in love with the Fuji and Olympus cameras because ease of use. But I am haste to buy because of the memory cards is Xd cards and sometimes you have a specilzed battery I still have my standard memory cards I don't have buy new memory cards.

Here's my ideas for digital camera specs:
No Lower than 4 MP camera
Must use AA batteries
Optical zoom no lower 3.0
Digital Zoom no lower 3.00
LCD Display
Have be easy to use
Movie Mode

The cameras that look at that I like is the Canon and Nikon. Also what falls in that catorgory to Kokak,Vivtar, HP, and Pentax.

I am leading towards the Canon and Nikon because it has all the features I am looking for and plus it's in my price range. My range is less than 200.00 dollars.

I am waiting for Black Friday to come see what specials that have on sell before i buy one.

It was just opened this week. Not too many people are aware of it, but it's growing in popularity.

Why would you want the AA batteries? I'm just curious, but our Kodak DS6490 (which I Love, btw) uses a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and it's so easy and convenient. My SIL has a Sony camera that uses AAA batteries, and she is constantly changing batteries because it goes through them so quick. She changed 3 times on Christmas Day last year.
