I am a camera nut and take tons of pictures. My question is where in the parks can I take my cards to have them uploaded to a CD. I have two cards that hold a lot of pics but I know I'll be taking more. Going to Wal-Mart is an option as we're not staying on Disney property but I'd like to know where in the parks to go in case I start running out of picture space.

Also, how much do they charge?

Thanks!

Don't know if this helps but you can get extra cards on ebay for REALLY cheap. I have no idea the prices you would encounter for Disney or any store to upload to CD's but this may be the cheaper solution.

I think I read it was about $12 in the parks or resorts, but Walgreens not too far away was only $3.99 or something like that.

Not sure about on-property at Disney but at Walgreens they reduce the picture quality if necessary to fit all pictures on one disk. This distorts your picture quality for future cropping/resizing. We had this done a few months ago and the pictures came back saved at 72dpi. It was HORRIBLE.

I believe they have a Kodak picture maker in every park. (check your park maps) But I only used the one at Magic Kingdom. It is in the first store to your right when you come in under the tunnel. I think it's called Exposition Hall (this was our first trip)

Anyway, the CD is $12.99 and the machine is REALLY SLOW. It is convenient, but slow. We did stay on disney property and found it very inconvenient to run to Walmart every night. We did do this once, but only because we ran out to get some other supplies too.

Like I said, it's convenient to do it at the parks, slow and expensive, but convenient.

My only suggestion for the disney resorts would be to put a Kodak picture maker in all of the resort shops. It would have been alot nicer to do the pictures at the resort at night after the kids went to bed.

How much MB space do you have on each of your card? We have one 8mb, one 32 mb and a 128 mb and we took about 2000 pictures between all the cards (I kid you not) and that was regular resolution (which make beautiful pictures) and we had more space for pictures if we wanted to take more.

It's easy to snap and snap everything. Just make sure you have enough battery power. We have three batteries for our Sony Cybershot and one day we took one that wasn't fully charged (duh) and there wasn't one place in AK where we could recharge it. A nice CM let us use her outlet at her cart (shhhhh) and that's what saved us.

My suggestion is to either buy more cards or take your laptop (if you have one) so you can burn your own pictures down to a CD. We are going to do that this year to save on extra costs.

We have 2 cards with 512 MB. I don't think it would be worth it for us to buy another card at this time, I don't think we'd use it other than vacation possibly. I just want to have the option of transferring the pics to a cd in case we need the room and I don't have a laptop to use. We do have extra batteries and will definitely bring the charger with us. I sure hope if we do scan to a cd that they don't lower the resolution, that would really make me not happy.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
