I want to buy a Digital Camera, but don't want to spend a lot of $$$$$$$$. Maybe around $250. Maybe a little more. Can you guys give me some suggestions. SHHHHHHHHH don't tell Becky it is a Christmas gift to take to WDW with us.

Thanks

We got a Kodak easyshare 3.1 but it was over $300...
The longer you wait the better the prices will be, and I am sure there will be some great after Thanksgiving day sales..
You are leaving 12/7 aren't you???

Good Luck...
My choices for the 2 MP cameras were the Sony Cybershot & the Cannon Powershot(I think I got them names right..lol)....jmho

We bough the Nikon Coolpix 2500 a few months ago for $279. It is the one where the lens flips around into the body. We like it a lot and it take great pictures. If I could just learn how to post them....

I have an Olympus D-510 zoom and I love it. I got it in February days before our Disney trip and not only was it easy to use it was the best purchase I have ever made. (Can you tell I really like the camera?) I got mine on sale for around $250, normal price was around $300 at the time.

We are looking at the Canon Powershot A40 or the Canon Powershot S200(elph). Probably going with the A40 for more features and 3X. It is around $249. I did a search here(when it was working!) and found lots of useful info! There is a Sony and Olympus in that price range too, but I think the Canon offers a bit more for the $$.

This month's Consumer Reports has a nice article on digital cameras. They rate the Kodak 3600 as good for picture quality as many of the higher priced cameras with 3-5 megapixels. You should be able to get the 3600 for under $300.......

We have a cannon S30 wonderful camera. Camera has a good free support line this has come in handy. My other digitial camera never had support or it would cost. Cannon is rated high on znet.com. Make sure wherever you buy that they have a exchange policy just in case you do not like the first camera you buy. Enjoy love the digitials

OK - please let me jump in here and ask a question as well!!

17 yr. old DD wants a digital camera for Christmas as well. I don't want to put a lot of money into it, because, well - she's 17! This camera will be on the band bus, Church Creation camp-outs, and who knows where else! (I'll come right out and say it - the girl is a little destructive with cameras!)

Is there a good camera for around $150.00?

Also - DS will be going to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico next summer for 14 days. Everything will be in a backpack on his back (weighing 35-50 lbs.) I think a digital camera would be the best bet - a small one, and there would be no need for extra film, etc. Am I right in thinking this.
Pam
