Different ways to scrap Disney?

Last year, after our first WDW trip, I did an 85 page scrapbook. It includes just about everything from the four main parks and it is divided by park. This year, I want to do something different. A theme book of some sort? Maybe not quite as comprehensive as last year's, but something fun and clever. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if this is what you're after but how about one of just characters or Hidden Mickey's? Signs of favorite rides? Each person's favorites like eating a certain snack/treat, restaurant, ride, etc.
It is hard to do another album and make it look different than the first when trips are close together. Not that much changes in the parks in just a year.
Our previous trips were just 2 years apart and I had the same feeling.

We go fairly often to WDW so I've thought about this a bit.....here are some of the ideas I've had and have either used or plan to use sometime.

Photo journal- basically a trip report with pictures walking readers through the vacation. You may want to keep extensive notes during vacation to do this. Calendar pages work well in this format.

By park/resort/activity- how most Disney albums seem to be done

ABC- I think there is a list somewhere online of things that can be used. Pick something (or many things) from your visit for each letter of the alphabet.

Favorites- have each family member pick their favorite things about each place you visit, your resort, even favorite foods or restaurants.

Small details- all those little things that make WDW special. A hidden Mickey's album would be one way to do this.

I'll try to post more if I can think of any....

We are DVC members so we go to WDW once or twice a year. This past trip I took pictures of things that were special to us. We stay at OKW and I took pictures of the pool, Hanks, the Gurgling Suitcase, the light house, and of Goods. I have not scrapped them yet but I plan to do a page of just OKW and our second Home.

We stayed at AKL three times last year, and by darn it, I'm gonna scrap every one...

The first time was in June, I'm doing a safari themed book with textured paper, animal print borders, in a faux fur book. We were also Grand Marshals and had lots of Magical Moments that trip, so I'm theming it like we were on a Safari with the GM at the end.

The second time was with my Dad, who celebrated his 79th birthday. I'm doing it in a heritage theme and doing a lot of childhood memories that he would talk about. He talked to every single Cast Member who would listen, so I'm trying to remember all his stories.

The third time we went was in October (that one is done) and I themed it by major activity - Food and Wine Festival, Mickey's Not So Scary party, Locks of Love day, Illuminations Dessert party, etc.

When I did our cruise one, I did it like my Mom's old scrapbooks - black paper, journaling right on the page, lots of stubs and such.

I have the same problem - too many pictures from too many past trips.

For the most recent trip, I'm doing a chronological album. I took lots of notes about what we did each day and used the Passporter pockets to fill in our favorite thing each day, funniest thing each day, etc.

In the past I have done pages for each park, the hotel, character meals, etc, and then character pages for each of the characters we have photos with. There will still be some of that because I know I can fill up several pages with the photos from the character meals. I think chronological will be easier to organize, though.

Have fun!

I have a 5x7 scrapbook that I keep all my 3x5 photos of me and characters in. But I also have 8x11 scrapbook that I just started that has most of the photos I've taken of characters, parades, buildings, shows, etc. that I had seen on each trip. I hope this helps someone. ::MickeyMo
