Different TS instead of Sci-Fi?

Hi all!

My hubbie isn't wild about going to Sci-Fi Dine In after reading about the "so-so" burgers on DIS. I thought the atmosphere would be so cute, but we do love really good food, so I'm considering scrapping it.

Is there another place we can go for good burgers and shakes? It can be pretty much anywhere, as long as it's 1 TS credit.

Any suggestions? Ready.... GO!!!!!

The burgers aren't bad there. Although, I usually get the turkey sandwich.

You could take a break from DHS and head over to the Beach Club (boat or walk) and go to Beaches and Cream for some good burgers and real malts.

The atmosphere at sci-fi is worth the not so good food once, but most burgers at DS aren't any better. I like the burgers at beaches and cream, and espn club, they're only a boat ride away

We love Sci Fi. If you are going for a burger and shake kind of meal, you can't beat it. I also love their reuben, their onion rings and the corny movie flicks and relaxing atmosphere (very quiet in there since everyone is riveted to the screen) are so fun.

Don't let bad reviews on the disboards discourage you. All places get them and if you switch out any place based on those bad reviews, you'll never get to eat anywhere!

Beaches and Cream has good burgers and shakes but they don't take reservations and the atmosphere is nothing special. Its also out of DHS but close by.

I'd stick with Sci Fi. Its very cool!

Nothing so-so about the burger I had at Sci-Fi in October - it was absolutely delicious!!!! Their shakes are fantastic too. I often read reviews that other menu items there are so-so but usually read only good things about the burgers. We've also had very good reubens there and my son loved his ribs. The theming is top notch too! Give it a try!!

We like sci-fi quite a bit, the theming is great and the food is pretty good. I actually thought the burger at sci-fi was good. I've only had one at WDW that was better... and that was at the Plaza in MK. The Plaza also has awesome shakes and sundaes . As far as TS with a decent burger at DHS, that's about it. 50's prime time has shakes, but no burgers that I am aware of.

If you're not tied to DHS for your burger/shake meal, try the Plaza

Have to agree the burgers they're grrrrrrrrrrreat! Onion rings, fries, ribs, and shake are awesome. Artichoke spinache dip is out of this world. I just think there are too many food snobs if it's not Victoria and Alberts it's crap. We go there every time we're in HS and haven't had anything bad yet except for the cucumber menlon salad and I just don't know what my DH was thinking when he ordered that. That combo just sounds wrong much less taste wrong. Atmosphere is great, seating is way cool, and the food is really good. Give it a try.

The burgers are really the only item from there I see anything good about. Except the milkshakes. Their boozy milkshakes are excellent!

Personally I would never eliminate a restaurant because of others' opinions posted on the DIS. Food is too subjective to go by that. I like a lot of restaurants that DIS posters seem to hate.

We really loved the food at Sci Fi. I got the ribs last time we went and thought they were wonderful! My dd and ds got the bugers and loved them. The shakes are also just to die for. We got shakes instead of drinks with our meal... then you can still get dessert. lol. That would have worked if we were not so stuffed after our meal.
