I'm so confused, but then again, it doesn't take much :p

These are from the AAA website
"The All-star Movies Resort Total Tax Per Room Is 13 Percent.
6 Percent State 1 Percent Osceola Sales And 6 Percent Resort"

"Total Tax For Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Is 11.5 Percent,
6 Percent Fl Sales .5 Percent Orange Co. Slaes And 5 Percent Resort."

Weird...just because they are in different counties? :rolleyes2

that is how taxes generally work.

look at your own state - then see if each county has different taxes - AL definitely does.

We asked that question when we made our reservations between Pop and ASMO. We were told because of the different counties they had different taxes. I believe POP was a bit lower than ASMO, just a few dollars off.

I guess I never really thought of WDW being in different counties. Thanks for setting me straight :)

Wide World of Sports is also in a different county so the food will have a different tax rate at their restaurant. Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge are almost right on the county line.

It may be just an urban legend, but it was reported a few years back that the county line runs right through the middle of All Star Sports, so the tax charge was different depending upon which building you were staying in.

I tend to think this wasn't true, but the story was an amusing one anyway.
