Different Resorts -Same Flight

Okay...my brother, sister and I are staying at the Yacht Club but my nephew and his girlfriend are staying at Caribbean Beach.

I know we can't check in for our flight going home unless everyone is there, right?
So, if they come to our resort to check in, will they be able to get on the Magical Express from there or do they have to get on it at their own resort?

I hope this isn't too confusing. It is for me!!!
OR could we just do an online check in from our laptop?

They should be able to check in at their resort, and you at your resort. You have to take ME bus from your resort.

The complicating factor here isn't that everyone has to be there.

What could be a problem is if all of the people are on the same airline reservation. In that situation, I don't know if some can check in at one resort and some at another resort under the same reservation. I'm afraid that everyone would get checked in when the first group did it and the second group to try would be locked out.

I do know that they can't come to YC to use RAC or to get picked up for DME if they are staying at CBR; both have to be done at the resort where you have been staying.

This isn't the end of the world, but it might be best to not use RAC, take the bags on the two buses, meet back up at the airport and check in there as one group.

Maybe somebody--try the Transportation board--has a better handle on what is doable and what's not.

The important fact here is are you on the same airline reservation, or just two reservations on the same flight? If two reservations there are no problems, if one airline reservation then one party might get locked out but might not.

Are you talking about checking in for the flight (which can be done online) or checking bags at the resort using RAC?

We are on the same airline reservation. So I guess we can check in for our flight online the night before and get on the Magical Express at our separate resorts.

We are flying out United and you don't pay for luggage when you book the flight. I am not sure when that comes up. I just don't like not knowing what I am doing, and they all think I know how everything works, but I sure don't.
