OK, I am looking to book an educational tour of Middle school aged students to Disney World for this fall. My question is why would I book thru a tour service when I could do it my self? Have any of you dis goers ever took a group of students (cheerleaders etc.) to DW?
Does DW offer educational programs to the public like it has thru the tour groups?
The tour group price is like 900.00 for 3 days per student and I KNOW that I could beat that. Anyone have any suggestions or comments?

I have heard from a tour guide about all the special programs they offer for schools, and it sounds awesome. They can teach physics through riding and studying roller coasters...I mean it's just really cool the connections they can make. I would say the benifits of booking through them would be the extras they could provide, such as not waiting in line for things connected to whatever they were teaching with. Plus, they are going to have so much information to give...I just think it would be great. The pricing may be different for school groups too...I think they have a number limit of like 8 or something. I would suggest calling the tours line and asking about it.

I agree you can defintely do better than $900 per person for 3 days. That is outrageous. How big of a group are you considering? So you have any idea how many rooms you may need?

I usually take a large group (9 chartered buses last year) to Sea World. This year we are doing Animal Kingdom. I plan to do the tour guide stuff myself, we just couldn't swing the price for the trip and the tour guide too. I've been often enough to get us through the trip. (I hope!)
