Different Names owning / same email account?

My wife and I own a DVC contract and have email 1 as my login, etc.

If I buy another contract just in my name or with my kids rather than just my wife, can I still use email 1 or would I need email 2?

Thanks for any info from people who have had this situation!
 
Easier to have contracts all named exactly the same so they can be under the same membership. Much easier to manage.
 
I wouldn't do it this way, your going to have a lot of headaches because you will need to transfer points between accounts.
 

I’ll answer your question. You don’t need another email, but you will have 2 different contracts under the same account. Everything you do, you will need to ensure you have the correct contract selected. You will not be able to combine points, so if you have a few days booked under each contact, you will not be able to merge the reservations. (Front desk is good about leaving you in the same room, but you will need to check out and back in).
It is not a problem if you are a logical thinker, and able to keep track of each contract in your head, which points you are planning to use, etc. If you are using the second contract for specific trips, it likely wouldn’t be difficult to track.

If you have a different set of owners, it will be a new member number. You can still see it on your account, but it's a different drop-down.
 
We have one membership with my adult kids and two with just DH and I. Email is mine for all of them

So, I can see all three under the same log in in my dashboard

As already mentioned, it will be a different membership so you won’t be able to use all points together for a single reservation without having to transfer between them.

I assure you, I have 2 use years, each of them titled differently, and it works as described.

i have three UYs and one of the three is titled differently then the rest and different UYs…they are all under my one DVc account for the website.

I use the same email address for all of them.
