Next month, my daughter and I will be staying at ASMu. We will be going right to Epcot after getting to the resort. Last month we stayed at CSR which shared a ME bus with ALL Stars and AKL, stoping in that order if I remember correctly- CSR was 1st. Let's just say that the same resorts share the same ME bus next month, can we get off at CSR and take the bus to Epcot? We would have no luggage, flying SW and checking it.

In theory yes if you have no carry on luggage you can get off at any resort that is on the same loop as the one you are assigned. Once you are on the bus they don't really track who belongs where except if anything is under the bus it won't come out at CSR as the bus driver would have stored it with all the ASMu stuff.

Thanks! I didn't think it would be a big deal but I thought I was ask. :)

They don't always group the same resorts together in the same order, so you can't count on it.

Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from getting off at any of the resorts on the route if you don't have luggage under the bus. On one of our trips my husband got off at a different resort and walked to our resort, I think it was when the bus stopped at the All Stars and he decided to walk all the way over to Pop.

That's a surprisingly long walk in/over/through routes not intended for guest walking without security interference? Over four miles?

Are you sure?? There is no way to walk that without being stopped by Disney security. There aren't walkways there! Disney frowns upon guests walking where there aren't sidewalks. Not to mention, that's a really long walk!!! If your resort was Pop, why were you on a bus to the AllStars? Are you sure you didn't hop off at AoA?

Nobody stopped him. He normally takes a 5-6 mile walk every night, so the distance wasn't an issue for him (even when we stay at Pop he and our teenage son walk to the McDonalds over near All Stars at least once during the trip). We were on a bus that stopped at All Stars because I'm not the one who decides where the ME goes.

That's very surprising....the roads between Pop and the AllStars are busy, and usually patrolled. Many people have reported being stopped by security. It's a huge liability issue for Disney, I would think, to have guests walking along busy roads with no sidewalks. It's pretty safe to assume that if there are no sidewalks, Disney prefers that you not walk there.
You may not be the one to 'decide where the ME goes', but you are assigned a particular bus! If you're staying at Pop, you should be on a bus that goes to Pop, not an AllStars bus. I have stayed at both...never have I been on a bus that stops at both these resorts.

The bus went to both. We were surprised, too.
