Difference in Deluxe Dining Plan

Could someone tell me the difference in Deluxe Dining Plan vs the regular dining plan other than the 3TS and 3 Snack Credits? I thought I read where you got the free refillable mug but I don't see that on Disney's website.

You get three credit meals to use any way you want (counter or table), two snacks, and the refillable mug. I was there in May and received a mug. I don't think they'd change that mid-year ... would they?

The deluxe dining plan includes 3 meal credits per day for use at either counter or table service, and 2 snack credits. Appetisers are included in this plan, and it does also include a refillable mug for each person on the plan.

Regular plan you get 1 CS, 1 TS (entree and dessert) and 1 snack per day.

Wow, I did not know that the appetizers were included. I changed our plan to deluxe since Delta changed my flight and we are arriving early morning now. Here are the restaurants we have right now:

Wow, I did not know that the appetizers were included. I changed our plan to deluxe since Delta changed my flight and we are arriving early morning now. Here are the restaurants we have right now:

11/25-Dinner at Mama Melrose

11/26-Lunch at Tony's (unsure about this), Dinner at Boma

11/27-Breakfast at 1900 Park Faire, Thanksgiving Dinner at the Fort

11/28-Breakfast at Donalds Safari Breakfast

11/29-Breakfast at Chef Mickey's, Dinner at Garden Grill

11/30-Breakfast at CRT, Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

12/1-Breakfast at Ohana's with Stitch

DS is 6 and we have never stayed in the parks nor have we ate TS. I tried to do a lot of Character Dining knowing he would enjoy and we may not come back for a few years. I did a lot of breakfast to pacify DH so he doesn't get irritated with all the characters. I would have liked to tried Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon at WL, and possibly the 1900 Park Faire Dinner (will my son like it). Any suggestions from those of you who have done Deluxe Dining. What is the best way to use the plan?

Thanks,
Erika

I know Tony's is iffy for some people (I think they either love it or hate it), but we had a very enjoyable dinner there. I thought it was good. We loved Chef Mickey's, too.

We splurged on 2-credit meals at the Brown Derby (Fantasmic package) and the Hoop De Doo show. Loved the Brown Derby, HDD was something that's good to do once, kwim? Oh ... And we all made sure to order something different and try each other's dishes. We were at WDW as much for the food as anything else, and it was an awesome experience.
