Could someone please explain to me what the difference is between these 2 services? I cannot seem to find the information on National's website. Thanks!

Emerald Choice is National's level of service in which you can choose any car within the vehicle class you have already reserved. If you have reserved a minivan, you can choose any minivan, color, style or model, that National provides. The same goes for other car classes, luxury, fullsize, intermediate, etc. Emerald Aisle allows you to pick any car that might be on the Aisle, when you arrive. It might be the same (or higher) than the class of car you had reserved. Pluto4President and 'Ralph' of Ralph and Pam have given recent, and excellent descriptions ( in their posts) of National's Emerald Aisle level of service.:D

Emerald Aisle & Emerald Choice are both only available to Emerald Club members and both allow you to skip the counter and go straight to the garage, with the paperwork done at the checkout booth as you drive out. If you are not an Emerald Club member, you have to go to the counter inside the airport and stand in line, but you will still have the choice of the size aisle you reserved (if you reserved a van, you can pick out of what's available in the van aisle). The advantage to Emerald Choice is skipping the counter.
