I AM SURE THESE ARE TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PLACES. HOTEL KINGDOM HAS BOTH OF THEM LISTED. ANYONE STAYED AT CYPRESS POINTE? (2 BEDROOM) AND, HOW DO YOU GET THE KEY?
IS THE OFFICE OPENED ON THE WEEKEND? WE WILL BE ARRIVING ON SATURDAY. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Both are good. They are open weekends and the office is just inside the entrance on the right.
The GV are just across the street.

they're sort of within the same complex, however they are separated into different sections (which probably makes absolutely no sense but that's the best i can do)...the grand villas are newer then cypress pointe. i'm not sure if this is allowed but no one actually stopped us so we used all of the pools, not caring whether they were in the cypress pointe or grand villas area, while we were staying at cypress pointe (hint: the pools in the grand villas area are cleaner, warmer, and less crowded...and we were there over easter so the crowds should be fairly accurate)
the two bedrooms at cypress pointe were decent. i believe all/most have a whirlpool in the master bath and big screen tv's (or at least our unit did)...my biggest complaint is the lack of windows. i don't think we actually had any windows, just two sliders, one in the living room area and one in the master bedroom...the units are clean and a decent size...
yes the office is open on the weekends...it is in the main building as soon as you get onto the property and that is where you get your key.

Thank you for the info. Would it be worth it to pay $20.00/nt more for th GV? Also, how hard it is to find from the airport and are the parks easy to find?

If anyone has ever stayed at Windsor Palms..how do these resorts compare?

the entrance to downtown disney is almost directly across the street from cypress pointe, from there the parks are easily accessible (signs everywhere)...sea world is not difficult either, and i would think that it would be easy to find universal...
my grandfather was able to easily find cypress pointe from the airport (around 1 am thanks to flight delays), and to get back to the airport a week later, and well we've taken MANY scenic routes with him so it's not a tough trip if he could get there...

CP and CPGV were just "phase 1" and "phase 2" of the same resort originally. Sunterra manages most of it and VRI manages some of it as well. However, guests staying at either are able to use all of the facilities at both. CPGV is newer and many people prefer the rooms there for that reason. However, CP (1) is scheduled for complete room refurbishment this coming year. The main volcano pool and clubhouse has been redone.

Wyndham Palms is a newer resort and very popular. I'm assuming that you meant that, not Windsor. It used to be called The Palms - A Tempus Resort. It's not as close to the theme parks as CP.

Maybe by browsing these websites, you'll get a better feel for each and see what appeals to you. HTH.
