What the heck is the difference between the Beach Club and the Beach Club Villas???

The Beach Club is a WDW resort.

The Beach Club Villas is a Disney Vacation Club resort. As such, it will have studio (including kitchenette) room, one and two bedroom units (more like condos including full kitchens, laundry rooms and jacuzzi tubs).

Beach Club is the regular resort. Beach Club Villas are Disney Vacation Club Units. Studios, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom and Grand Villa's. They are for the DVC people who "buy in" to the vacation club. You can also stay in the villas at a rack rate, or if you want, rent points from DVC people to stay there.

No Grand Villas at the Beach Club Villas. The Disney Vacation Club is Disney's version of a timeshare. You will see kiosks all over the parks and resorts giving you a bit of information so you can sign up for the full tour.

Occupancy for the studio and one bedroom is 4, for the two bedroom 8.

About 95% of the villas are owned by members, but DVC allows member to make trade for other places, so those points get used by CRO to sell out the units to non-members.

Also, .. if the villas interest you, can rent "points" to stay at BCV for $10 per point most times of year from the timeshare owners , which ends up being alot cheaper than the resort hotel itself. The Villas wing is kind of tucked back behind the resort hotel, but is still convenient to the amenities, the views are however generally less desirable back there in the Villas.
