Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

Cayla - thanks for the info on pin trading. How about we make this into an educational event too? With the "experts" starting the event with info like how to tell if the pins are the non-legits, what to look for, etc.?

Re. FE gifts..... Is EVERYONE making CREATIVE hand-made gifts? I'm not, and I hope that's okay. My gifts are Disney oriented and took a lot of thought, but they are not hand-made. Oh well, if I'm alone, then maybe people will be ready for a uniquely UN-unique little gift!!!

I'm not very creative, so I found some great disey themed gifts too... I was feeling the same way. But I'm thinking the kids would rather get a toy than what I could make :rotfl:

Here is the updated tasting list. We have 48 people signed up leaving 2 spots but that may change as we may loose a few people. At the moment it looks like it will be a Mixology Tasting on April 18th.

I'd like to reach out to DCL by Thursday so they can get started on setting everything up. If you haven't already done so, please vote by end of day Wednesday. If anyone else is interested in joining us, please PM me or post here. Thanks :goodvibes

HAHa..... I'm loving this group of alcoholics!

Sounds like there is enough interest in a possible 2nd tasting. When I reach out to DCL in the next day or so regarding our original tasting I will check to see if we can do another one towards the end of the trip.

For the mixology please remove Danny...this time around.

Call the cruiseline - they can tell you what movies will be onboard, they have a list about 3 months out.

Thought about that but after waiting so long for our stateroom assignment I figured I could ask on the thread and not tie-up the phones. :thumbsup2

RW name - Sandy

I forgot to mention that my DD Jessica (8) also collects Stitch pins, and we have some duplicates and others she's willing to trade, so if you think Jaide would be interested, we'll bring those along. :stitch:

We have a dear friend who also loves Stitch, although I'm not sure what she has. I'll need to get an inventory list from her. We'll have our bag of random pins (also from ebay) DD is always on the look-out for princess pins.

sounds like stitch will be the character of the cruise! :goodvibes Will have to get in gear and see if I can get some pins...the girls are both low on their "traders"

I 2nd that idea. I would love to learn more and to get a feel for what and how to trade. Aiden walked up to a kid doing trading and thought it worked the same way as when you do it off the lanyards with the Disney folks. The kids was nice and ended giving the pin to Aiden but I would love to know what kind of pins are worthwhile to trade. ;)

BTW, Dollar Tree has cute Easter gift bags, that look somewhat like an Easter Basket when opened (if you squint). They will pack flat and will make a decent substitute for packing an Eater basket.

Will do - I started working on an intro sheet after I posted that suggestion, and have reached out to some contacts to clarify information. I will make that sheet available to everyone once it is done.

Yep - will do...sounds like a "pin trading seminar" would be a better title?

Once I have an idea of how many people, I will make sure I print enough of my "pin trading 101" info so everyone can have a copy.

We are up to about 10 people so far!

Who else wants to join in on Pin Trading?

Put us down, Kristi--non-trader, Isabelle & Danny--traders.

So would they put their pins on their lanyards that they want to trade? Or do they put them in bags? On the hunt for pin lots now.

Great minds...I bought two of these!!! I thought they kinda look like an Easter basekt = PERFECT!

Me too! Now the hunt is on to find things that I can pack and hide in small cabin for a week.

Wow...you guys are nice...my girls are just getting stuff laid on their beds after I buy them on the ship earlier that week:rotfl2: or maybe the EB will get off and buy something in a port too:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I like your thinking. Perfect idea to buy a few small trinkets from the Easter bunny in port.
