Hey all, how do I come straight to this thread? When I log in I seem to have to search through the cruise then the meet then the cruise, then the cruise dates, then our date. Isn't there an easier way? I almost feel like Facebook is a faster means of communication. Maybe that is because I'm on there all the time, ha.
So thanks to everyone. Kristi, I think you caught me in time to put me down for 2 adult, 2 child wrist bands. Also, the Cabo The Office sounds like a good idea, especially chilling with fellow moms and a drink (Liserann).
Manzanillo may be a challenge, huh? I'm not one for not knowing what I'm doing in port, but if it's a choice between nothing and possibly something then I can handle waiting. Great prices, I would love to go with you guys. Not being able to call straight from the ship may be an issue. Wish the cell phone roaming wasn't costly.
White rabbit on Easter would be cool, and flashy easter treats around the ship. I emailed the mom advise lady on the
Disney cruise website and she was the one that told me they do nothing except a small service, but we don't attend religious services. I have those collapsible fabric "baskets" from the stores, which will pack up really nicely with a few plastic eggs and simple candies. Might have to pass on any large stuffed toys, but someone mentioned getting souvi's in the store for E baskets. Good idea.
This is pretty cool, I am loving meeting people pre-cruise instead of a random HELLO to someone in the hot tub here and there. The gift exchange is really fun to me,too.
Kristi, you'll let us know all those details on gifts pretty soon, or closer to the cruise time? I'm trying to think of gift ideas already for the FE's. Woot woot.
Anyone hitting Dland on 4/29? I'm headed there with my best friends family, too.
Oh, I was also told by the Disneycruise.com lady that there is no birthday celebrations on board...so I guess no bday cake or any special treatment? I think I'll get a "HEY! It's my birthday!" Tshirt or something so she gets a little head nod from people, and I guess I'll lug a gift or something, too. Might resort to the souvi shops on board for that, too. It's on April 25th...Jazmin is turning 7! My big girl.
Found pirate girl costumes. I'm deciding between cute or frumpy mom pirate costume, ha ha.
Searching online for some
DCL cruising tips, in case there is more out there I'm new to. Oh, I guess I need to get a jump on making magnets for my door, right? What else is a must? An extra clothes line is a savior for me so I don't have to rehang suits when I shower. Also love a shelved shoe organizer for the closet so I don't have to dive for matching childrens shoes. Also I bought a bsuit cover up finally instead of not knowing what to throw over my suit. Buying a new suit for this cruise, it's a treat. Landsend.com really has a good fit and quality, usually free shipping, lots of sizing (tall, etc) options, and free returns at Sears stores. The girls suits also cover all of their tushes, which I love!
Yay! I'm on FB a lot, find me there! Kel Fox. If anyone is from out of the country or state and I can help bring things for them, let me know. We'll be driving down to S.Cal for the trip.
