Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

We won't be at the Doubletree meet the night before either, so I think it would be great to meet on board the day of departure!

Mary
Awesome! Also, we need to introduce our little ones so they will know each other in the clubs. My Macy will be a couple weeks shy of 5 and my little guy Sean will be almost 3 1/2 when we sail.

Hello All...

I am so glad to find this forum. I am a first time cruiser and am so excited to join the Disney Cruising family. Just wanted to say hello!

I will be travelling with my DH (in our 30's), my two sons (ages 4 and 1), and my parents (age-late 60's).

Any recommendations for us? Anything would be appreciated! Any recommendations for our kids? Anyone out there with boys our age?

By the way, what is FE?
Welcome! I added you to the roll call on the website. If you'd like to send me a photo, I'd be happy to upload it!

Wow gone a week and so much has changed. It's a bummer about Randi's Happy Horses as I doubt anyone in Cabo will take a 3 year old. Of course the main thing is to be safe so I will give it up gladly.

Did you take another trip or just too busy to check the Disboards?

DEFINITELY!!! DD is actually 3, but turns 4 during the cruise on the 25th! princess: Can't wait to meet you and everyone! :yay:

If you want to purchase wrist bands take a look at the following link at the sizes and PM me with what sizes and how many you want.
https://reminderband.com/downloads/reminderband_sizes.pdf

I will place an order by March and I think it only takes a week or so to get them.

Also, what info do we want on the bands??

Sign us up for 3 wristbands! :thumbsup2 I'll send you a PM with the sizes as soon as I get a chance to measure. Thanks for doing this for us! :flower3:

We'd probably need lanyards rather than wristbands to write our whole cruise motto: "Disney Wonder - Diez Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana 17-27 April 2011". I think the website says up to 2 phrases, 25 characters per phrase. We could go simple, maybe just "DISboards.com." Or "Disney Wonder April 17-27, 2011" to make it more of a souvenir of the trip? Come on, all you creative people, think of something clever! :goodvibes

Welcome to all the new PEEPS!!! :welcome:
Kristi...love the idea of the wristbands. Your the best for taking this up. :thumbsup2 A lime shirt...not so much. I would look like a over sized lime. :sad2: Wouldn't be pretty. A black shirt with the Dis lime green mickey could work...for me or our logo too. :confused3

I still haven't been able to get ahold of the guy at Pirates of the Bay in PV. Called 3 days last week and started again today. When I call, Lidia knows me by voice. I will call again tomorrow. Needed to get a confirmed amount of people before Jan 31 or the ressies will have to change to on our own. :confused3

Kristi, that price quote of $41, which includes food and drinks, is that per person? per family? Let me know how that works. I'm all for sitting on the beach sipping Margaritas.
And wristbands or lanyards, yes please! :thumbsup2 I'll take 4, although I'm pretty sure DS 19, won't be wearing his for too long. Lime green shirts...don't think so. :lmao:

Is there a group of people going to the Pirates of the Bay?! If so, i'd love to get more information on how my family can participate! :woohoo:

I love the wrist bands. Count us in for three. I'll measure the girls tonite for sizes.

Re. FE: my girls are: Emilie (7 - next month) and Lilie (5 - just last week!)
My older daughter is not sailing with us after all.

Just saw on the board about where a good place was to have a dis meet on board.

3:00pm Promenade Lounge on day of departure? What do you all think? It would give us a chance to have lunch and check out our rooms before the drill. Or do we already have one scheduled? But I will definitely be running around the terminal trying to find you all since I won't be at the Double Tree meet the night before. :rotfl:

Hey Michelle, i just read that 3:00pm is likely to be when they have the familiarization tour for the ship. Since it's our first time on a cruise, i think we would probably opt for the tour. Is there another time that would work for the DIS meet?! :confused3

I just saw our new port times posted. I pasted it below but if you want a prettier version go to http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-cruise-line/mexican-riviera.htm#seven I had already sent an email to DCL this morning asking about our Cabo port times, so I'll let you know if their answer is the same as is posted below.

Kristi, please call the CP before you make that Priceline bid. When I was going to do this last year I called them and they told me that parking was NOT included in the Priceline price but that I could use their garage for about $10/night IF they had room. I ended up just booking a cruise and park package. Of course things could have changed in the meantime. On the other hand, I called the Doubletree a few months ago and was told I could just book a room with them (not a package) and parking would still be free.

Dany, and anyone else staying at the Doubletree, I just noticed that their prices went down a bit. I originally booked a cruise & park package for $189 with no breakfast. Now I notice online they have the cruise & park package with breakfast for 2 and drink coupons for $169. Have to pay when you book and there is no cancellations. Saving $20 is great for us and now with a breakfast.

Just saw on the board about where a good place was to have a dis meet on board.

That sounds great to arrange the meet for this time. I will email Connie to see if we can get it added to our site.

My son Brennan will be turning 3 a couple of days after the cruise. He is very outgoing and loves kids clubs.

The price is $41 per adult and kids are $21.

I thought the ship tour was at 2:30pm. It was last weekend. We can arrange a few meets, that would be great. We can get Connie to put all the meets on the website so we can keep track of them.

Also, I have been PM'ing Gabriela and it looks like Palo does not use the private dining room for high tea. We can however request it for either a dinner or brunch for 12-14 people. Does anyone know if we request the private dining room, does that count for one of our meals there? Or can we have it on top of our already scheduled reservations?

I got a good list going for the wrist bands, 50 people so far. I will place the order the end of February. Here is the title recommendations I have had so far:

WONDERfully cruising the Mexican Riviera, Disney Wonder 4-17-2011
10 hot nights on the Mexican Riviera, Disney Wonder 4-17-2011
DIS Meet, 10-day Mexican Riviera, Disney Wonder 4-17-11
Wonder'ful Fiesta on the Riviera, Disney Wonder 4-17-2011

Thoughts?

You can put me down for 4 please. I will pm you by the end of the week with the sizes. As far as the title, is there anyway we can do a poll on here?

Kristi, it's very possible i saw that info for another ship. In any case, we'll make it work! :)

Question: What is the difference in Category 5B and 5C?

Kristie, RE: Bracelets...3 adult, and 1 child
