Well I knew it would happen but didn't think it would be this soon... I fell off the wagon... :( I think I gained 4 lbs back this week... Not in muscle... it was pizza and junk food... boo! Oh well tomorrow is another day...

Everyday is a new day:goodvibes
I have Sunday as my Hakuna Matata Day -
No worries - I eat what I want and usually don't worry about exercising.
By having this "free" day, I'm more likely to stay on track during the week!
Good luck:grouphug:

Hi all!!!

Just arrived home tonight a couple of hours ago. I haven't had time to catch up on this thread, but I hope everyone is doing well!

We had a great trip. I'm happy to report that I ran on the beach 6 of the 7 days, walked along the beach a lot, and enjoyed a day of walking at Busch Gardens. My eating was another story however! :rotfl2: I'm back to my routine tomorrow.

Take care all!

Thank you thank you for the warm welcome. I'm hoping to be an inspiration to others! :yay:

I feel way behind the times. I am amazed at all of the posts. Everyones successes are great.

Bluesdad :yay: Welcome to our family!:woohoo: :cool1: An 11 pound weight loss in 10 daysis phenominal. Way to go!! It sure sounds like you are on a fast track to success. What are your secrets? What are you doing to get the weigh offf so fast? Please let us know. You may have stumbled upon something that we haven't thought about yet.

CJK Welcome back! I am glad that you had such a good trip. I must have forgotten that you were heading down. I just knew that I had been missing you around here.

MunkyMe I know last week was challenging for you. How are you doing this week? Are you keeping up your motivation and enthusiasm? I know if that if you go back through the pages here, you will see that we have all gone through it. And I am pretty sure that you will see that a lot of us got through our issues with a lot of support from our friends here. Please let us know if we can do anything to help during the rough times.

Twotoohappy What a rock you have been! You go to WDW and do the 1/2 marathon, you sign both of us up for that competition, already have signed up for the Goofy for next year and have been a MAJOR asset here! :cheer2: :yay: :woohoo: I do have a question for you for the competition. Where do we post our distances? Is it on the main thread or somewhere else? I thought I read something about going on Google? I just want to make sure that I help out the team.

update I had a great weekend of cardio where I did 13 miles while I was at the gym. I was really optimistic about what I was going to be able to achieve this week after Sunday each day at the gym as well. Then, Monday morning came and , I hit a wall HARD. I woke up Monday morning with what felt like a serious trauma to the kneck. I couldn't turn my head, look down or anything. I came home yesterday and took a muscle relaxer and that did nothing. I went to my Chiropractor today and I am still very tender and sore with a burning in my shoulder blade. It hurts to even swallow. I am going to put some heat on it again tonight and use the massager to see if that will help. If not, I am going to go back to the doc tomorrow. My plans are to try to go back to the gym anyway tomorrow night. I may not be able to lift but I want to try to keep up with the cardio. I ask for your thoughts as I try to get through this but I promise to be smart and dilligent through yet another ordeal.

I love seeing all of these posts, new people and excitement. This thread has been my motivation and positive energy for so long and it is getting better all of the time. Thank you!

You are definitley in my thoughts. Don't over work yourself. I know its frustrating to not go to the gym but if it hurts don't push. You could make it worse. Also maybe try a low impact cardio. I don't know if you do the treadmill or elliptical but maybe try the bikes instead. I am doing much better this week. I have my motivation back up and I've been hitting the gym without DH which is kind of a break through because I don't like doing anything without him and usually when he doesn't want to go I just stay home with him. But now I am determined so I went Monday and yesterday without him. I lost all the weight I gained last week which I think was more retained water than anything else and even lost a bit more. Thank you for the support and I hope you feel 100% really soon!!!!!

Well I joined the Biggest Loser Club on-line and they give you a workout plan and a menu and recipes. I've been following that pretty much and also I switched back to being vegetatrian, which really helps me. I think the main thing is to keep working out. Even if you have only a few moments do something to keep you in the routine.

Bryan - First, get better soon! Take time to heal or it might get worse.

Sarah - great job on getting back with exercising!
It's hard to start back up again, but isn't it great to
see those numbers moving down!

Bluesdad - I have Jillian's workout tape from the Biggest Loser
and it's great! There's nothing like her workouts!
Keep up the awesome work!

Now for me... not so good :(
I've been dealing with some medical issues
and have been banned from strenuous activity
until after my head CT scan Sat. afternoon.
I'm stress eating and there's no way to burn it off :(
grrrr.... I'm hoping to be able to head back to the
gym by Sunday!!!!

Have a Happy Valentines Day everyone
and keep up the good work!

Well I haven't gotten any dvds yet but have the books and on line stuff. It does help a lot if I have the time to spend making the stuff. :sad2:

As for your health, I'm so sorry to hear this. What are they looking for? I am a CT Tech. Just wondering if I can give you some comfort through knowledge.

Thanks! I did the interval elliptical program tonight for 35 minutes and got up to 2.51 miles!! thats my highest... usually I do about 2.30ish on the fat burn program!

I really appreciate everyone's well wishes during this past week while I am dealing with my kneck. I did take most of the week off from the gym and I still am not doing any lifting as my kneck is better but not right. I went last night and tonight to do some cardio. So in the last 2 days, I have done another 12 miles. That brings my weekly total to 25. This is a lot lower than I wanted to be averaging but with all things considered, I'm pretty happy. I have several things to do tomorrow but I am still planning on going to the gym all weekend and do more cardio. I have to keep my miles up.

Thanks again everyone. I will be back tomorrow hopefully with some more good news.

Bryan

The CT scan went well. Thx Cam for the info!
How's your weight loss going Bluesdad?

CJK where are you?????

I did a light workout on the elliptical today.
I'm not that comfortable on it, but it was the only
free machine that wasn't in use.

Keep up the good work Bubba!
25 miles is GREAT!!!!!!!!

Munkyme13- nice job on the elliptical. Are you going for
distance or speed/fat burn?

I was keeping track of distance but now I am more focusing on calories burned and what not... I used to not be comfortable on the elliptical but I find it to be the best to burn calories since running on the treadmill hurts my knees...

I too am a HUGE fan of the elliptical machine. It gives me the best calorie burn and I sweat the most on it. That's good enough for me.

I have been doing more cardio going for distance recently since I have entered this competition with Twotoohappy. This weekend I was able to get another 10 miles in and feel pretty good about being able to average 5 to 6 miles per day this week. I am still getting a pretty good calorie burn and of course, I am always helping the cardiovascular system so it is all good.

The best part of this update is that my kneck is feeling better. I am still having some issues and restrictions but I am planning on getting back to lifting some weights tomorrow. I will be smart about it but I have to do something otherwise, I am going to get lazy again and I don't want that.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a productive week. I am so proud of all of you and your successes. You are such an inspiaration to me and to each other. Keep it up and we will all have great success.
