Momrek - I was just about to go to bed and I caught your message. I don't care what I may desire as a physique, if I can't get it through hard training and strict dieting then I don't need it. I can gaurantee that this man will never touch anything like steroids but thanks for the words of encouragement. Also, I would like to add 300 extra steps. That's great!!
I am glad that I was able to give you the thoughts of taking it easy when you come back from vacation. I do try to do some form of exercise even while I am on vacation. On this last trip, I was doing some push-ups, sit-ups and I even used a chair that was in my room and did curls and tricep extensions. I didn't do a lot but I was just trying to get a little pump before I went to the parks. Of course, it never lasts that long but it was a good thought. But one thing I do no matter if I am on vacation, gone to a conference or at work, I will always take my vitamins. I never miss a day. It is a ritual with me like brushing my teeth. I just don't feel right without them.
The weights are actually a real good idea. They will add extra resistance which will add to the calorie burning. They will also give you a little change to your routine. A lot of people will take those little weights and while they are walking they will do curls, shoulder presses, both or just sway them with your natural movement of your arms as you are walking. This will also help you use muscles that you don't always use while in the gym. If you decide you want to up the ante, you can try power walking with the weights. This may be what you are already doing. I don't know. But power walking really is a fast walk, like walking with a purpose. You are trying to get somewhere fast without running. I have read reports where people were doing power walking and burning anywhere between 400-800 calories per hour. That's pretty intense.
I hope that answers your question. Everyone, I will be back tomorrow. Feel free to check out my trip report. I just added day five which was the day that we went to Kennedy Space Center. One last thought. Tomorrow is a brand new day. No one knows what is instore for any of us. Take advantage of this bit of knowledge and run with it. Know that you can make whatever you want of tomorrow so BE SUCCESSFUL! BE EXCITED! AND BE MOTIVATED!

, but walking with them just might do the trick for me. Let me know how you like it Momrek.
Anywho, I'd be interested to hear if any of you have sabotagers in your lives.

Today I had a few M&M's to satisfy my sweettooth (120 calories).
DH and I are doing so wonderful. Today we actually did 8100 steps and went to our local high school and jogged around the track. Man, it was nasty hot but we were there for an hour and we would walk 1/2 the track and jog 1/2 the track. We LOVED it
!! DH used to do that years ago when he was in better shape....so now we are going "back in time" to get DH in shape for his trip to Greece to see Mike. He was so proud of himself. He said he wanted to change things up a bit from our usual walk at the Town's walking track. This was GREAT!
WOW O WOW!!! FABULOUS news about your WDW trip and a LOST as well. You must be so proud of yourself. Give yourself one huge pat on the back!!! AMAZING!!!!
) later after a weight loss!!!!!! Hope you enjoy them!!!!
!!!
Actually, I didn't do that bad and didn't gain a single pound
) then another birthday, then a BBQ
This is also the most current inspiration to lose some weight. I am shooting for 5lbs before then, let's hope for the best!! All the husbands are gonna sit around, play cards and watch sports while were gone..they love it too
That's a good one. But it made me think. Motivation comes from within. You are already motivated or else you would have never found this thread or looked for suggestions or help with a diet. Now, the encouragement is something that comes from other sources. It can come from a person or reaching a goal or some sort of pampering. Sure, we can encourage you when you are down and you will encourage yourself when you see the results and that will all increase your motivation. I know for me it is saying that I went from 35% bodyfat to around 15%. I went from a 38" waist to a 32". I went from benching 100 pounds to have been able to do 315 pounds. What motivates you outside of this thread? Focus on that. As the saying goes, "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize." What is your prize? Is it a thinner you? A healthier you? Or, for someone like my DW, being able to go to WDW without getting so worn out so easily? I hope this makes sense. Just think, if someone thinks that they can only get motivation from another person, what happens when you can't communicate with that person. Say your power goes out or your internet connection will not connect, do we loose our motivation? No. We stay focused and carry on so we can report something wonderful when we can talk to that person or group again.
for all of you wishing you a fantastic week.
I weighed myself just to get a starting point this week, but will not weigh myself again for at least 2 weeks. Your body changes so much, and depending on the time of the day, along with about a thousand other variables, it can really screw up your determination, will and desire. I weighed myself every day and it really did a number on me. Since I've stayed off it, I've done WAY better. Just my personal experience. Anyway, AWESOME!! I am so happy for you on your loss, I am currently plateauing (sp?) but at least I didn't gain

to our little group. I hope that you find the support that you need and any advice that you may crave. We have got a great bunch of people here. Honestly, I can't put it that way. We have got a great family here. The group here is what we always "wish" our family and friends were like. I haven't seen one negative comment since I started this thread. The other great part is who have a group here that is trying to accomplish the same thing as you, have the same goals as you and actually has the same love as you (Disney). I also have to admit that I am very jealous of you. I have always wanted to do a Disney vacation during Christmas. To see the Osbourne Lights would be amazing. Anyway, feel free to post any questions, trials or successes. We are here for you.
