So how many of us are dieting and trying to loose weight for your next cruise? If so, how much wieght do you want to loose and how much time do you have to do this before your cruise?

I want to loose 10 lbs. Our cruise is Jne 24th of this year. So we are at the 2 month mark :cool1: I just started my diet/workout. I normally workout anyways 4-5 days a week, but with summer coming up and the cruise I am upping my workout intensity and watching what I eat. So far I am 3 weeks into the plan and after the 1st week I lost 1 lb. I am not weighing myself every week, my trainer wont' let me. But I feel like I have lost another pound or so. I better have lost some after my workout today! I ran 3 laps around the track before class, then during class we ran 12 laps (1 mile!). I am working out with my weights this time, and I notice I drop the weight easier when I do that, than just doing cardio alone.

Goodluck everyone! Let's keep us all motived and going!

Sue

I think I'll pay you to work out for me!!!! Keep up the good work - I feel thinner already.:goodvibes

I have lost 70lbs and have 30 more to go before I reach the 100 mark, hence the name "DREAMCRUISER100". I work out with a personal trainer 3x a week and try to do cardio everyday, as well as watch my food intake. Congratulations for all your hard work, that 10lbs can be really tough!!!:goodvibes

That is awesome!!!!!

I haven't lost much, just about 15lbs. I didn't have alot to loose, just mainly getting back in shape is what I needed. These last 10 I have been trying to loose for a year now, but at least I have been able to keep up with my workouts and maintaining my weight. But I really want to loose these 10 lbs. I workout with a trainer 1 day a week. I do a group class with her 3 other days, and on the extra day I do what she privately trained me to do, I do on my own.
A lady I babysit her kids for, has lost over 50 lbs. I am not sure where she is at right now, but as of 2 mo ago she lost 50 lbs. She is training for a triathlon!

I was trying to lose 10lbs, but we cruise in two weeks and my willpower just wasn't there to lose it before this cruise. Now I'll have to be careful to watch that I don't over eat and make sure I get extra exercise on board or my clothes won't fit when I get home!

That's amazing! Congratulations to you! :thumbsup2

I would like to lose 8/10lbs before my cruise and vow renewal onboard in September. I've lost 28lbs over the past couple of years and have been successful at keeping it off. I work out with a personal trainer once a week and have started running 5 times a week. Diet-wise, I just stay away from the starchy carbs which seems to help and that way I don't feel like I'm denying myself, so it's sustainable. Good luck everyone! :cool1:

I am also trying to loose about 5 - 10 pounds for my May 31st cruise. I have been working out about 5 times a week and watching what I eat (but, I get one cheat meal on Sunday for lunch). You know, I really worked out last year before we cruised last July, and my stomach was so used to eating healthy that the food on the ship seemed to rich for me (on RCCL). I guess that was a good thing so I didn't over eat :) Good Luck!!!!

My Dear Sister-in-law & I are dieting for our upcoming cruise in June. So far I have lost 35# (but have much more to go!). The BIG thing is I have joined Curves which has helped! I should be @ least more able to tackle all those excursions on the cruise!:woohoo:

I'm on Weight Watchers. I didn't go on it just for the cruise, but more for a dance recital I'm doing the day before the cruise. But being in shape for the cruise was an added incentive. I've been on it a little over 2 months and I've lost 15 pounds (and that's with lots of cheating.) I need to really buckle down now though because I've only got 4 weeks until the recital and cruise. I want to lose another 5 to 10 pounds.

I'll toss my hat in too! I would like to lose about 30 lbs for my New Years eve cruise in Dec!! I need to get my butt into gear! (Literally!)

I'm just going to grow my hair longer to hide my "back fat" :scared1: and a tankini to hide uuumm whatever is bulging in the front.. a souvenir from my DD from 3 years ago! :rolleyes1

But seriously, I'm just mountain biking and some crunches and push ups here and then to tone up. I don't need to lose much weight, maybe around 5 lbs. and basically just tone up.

My friend is doing the "suddenly slimmer" wrap tomorrow, so I'll see if it works for her 'coz I'm going to be first in line if it does work  Has anyone seen that one in the Tyra Banks show (she forwarded me the video)?

Goodluck to us all! :grouphug:

Count me in for a diet. I have 19 months till my cruise so hopefully I will be able to make some good progress, I don't have a set amount to lose just want to lose as much as I can. Really if I can just drop a size or two I would be happy because Disney doesn't have a lot of "Plus size" clothes and I want to wear Disney clothes on the Disney cruise. I lost almost 30 pounds for my wedding last November and then I put it all back on because I got lazy so I just need some will power :scared: and Weight Watchers.

I am doing WW at home. I've lost 10lbs so far and hoping for another 10-15 before our July 22 cruise. We have a "Biggest Loser" contest going on at work. We weigh in each week with the school nurse (I'm a teacher). We all put 20 bucks in a pot. Whoever loses the most gets the pot...Cash is always a great motivator:thumbsup2

hi,

me too. I would love to lose weight before my cruise. I have lots to lose but would settle to drop a dress size. I have so many nice 'cruise' type clothes in my wardrobe that I cant get into to. I really cant afford to buy new ones so Im trying to get down a bit.

My plan is to go on my excercise bike daily and watch what I eat.

Good luck everyone
:pixiedust:

Count me in. I started WW two weeks ago and am down about 8lbs. My weigh in is tonight, cross my fingers.

I have an extra incentive, my brother in law is getting married at the end of June, so I am hoping to be down 20lbs by then and another 20 by our Septl. cruise.

Good luck to everyone.

I want to lose at least 40lbs. by the time we cruise, maybe even 50! I have a year to do it, so I am hopeful! I am just so darn addicted to chocolate!!

Yes, that & carbs are my downfall! :worship: GOOD LUCK to everyone & We hope to see less of all of you! (Bad pun!):rolleyes1

Wow, I am impressed with the dieters. I try to diet and just can never get thru the fact that I am the only one in the house on a diet. I don't mind my weight now but since I had my son I don't have a waist anymore. I have less then three weeks to go...I think it is too late.
