Dieting/Calorie Counting in Disney

Good for you to keep on the journey, so many good suggestions from other posters. Keep doing what you have been doing at home. There are lots of healthier options in Disney restaurants, split meals with travelling companions etc. Portions are usually quite large, and avoid the soda machines and stick with water. My family eats fairly clean, we ordered in some fruits, water and other options that we would normally eat at home via delivery service. Don't get me wrong we still ate our fair share but were aware of what we were eating. The Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream is must do for a family of four though....

Some locations, especially QS and snack locations, do have nutritional information available. You have to ask for it and they have a card they will let you look at. These are less available at TS and probably not at buffets. But ask anyway.
Congrats on your success! Glad you found something that works for you, I know how hard it is.

I have been doing really well with my eating and weight loss by calorie counting and choosing better foods. I will be in Disney for almost 2 weeks and I noticed they do not post calories for literally anything there. It's very hard to make assumptions to continue to log my food. I realize with all the walking I will be burning more calories then normal, but want to make sure I don't gain weight back while on vacation.

Any tips or tricks on maintaining your weight while on vacation? I'm hoping to eat only one sit down meal a day, usually skip breakfast (not a morning eater) and then maybe a light snack of some kind for dinner.
Anyone done something similar?
I agree with others about less processed foods. I also am on a weight loss journey. If you have a salad there, ask for the dressing on the side, dip your fork into the dressing then into the salad-you'll get the taste and a lot less calories. Last time we went, I chose the healthiest but enjoyable dish for either lunch or dinner daily and for the other meal something I would normally pick. Breakfast was usually light. I used to pick a diet Coke but have switched to diet lemonade, unsweetened iced tea(add sweetener) or just water. Look over the menus on the Disney website, and photos here as well as on allearsnet. Maybe have some portable low calorie food in your room that you can use-fruit cups, tuna pouches, etc that you can bring into the parks to snack on. Last year I lost 3 pounds after a week at Disney-I just waited a day after I got home to allow some of the sodium to leave my system.
