Diet drinks available in the parks?

Have you actually seen Pepsi there? :confused3 I have never read anything like this.

If you look at Google Maps, unless there is some sort of weird jog in the property lines, it looks like its on property.

On that map, the DTD Hess is just across Buena Vista Drive from the entrance to DTD. Look for the "PNC ATM" label to see where I'm talking about because it isn't labeled as Hess on Google's map. It is only a few minutes' walk from the DTD West Side bus stops but far enough to be off property so you can in fact grab a Dew there. We took a cab once and decided if we ever went back we'd just walk it.

But the property line goes to I4. :confused3

I hope you are not punking people are you, getting peoples hopes up, taking two buses to get there and then finding no Dew. :goodvibes

Does it really? I never knew that. How does that work for the Hotel Plaza area hotels/restaurants? I know Benihana is usually a Pepsi place and there's one there, and I'm sure that's not the only Pepsi-dealer on that stretch.

I'm about 75% sure I picked up a bottle of Dew at that Hess. I could be wrong because the purpose of our excursion was actually beer and that was 7 years ago so the memory is a little faded. I asked DH and he doesn't remember either. I may call them tomorrow just because not remembering is going to bother me if I don't! I need to know before May anyway because that trip isn't going to be long enough to justify a grocery delivery.

1. If you look at the second google map I posted, the one not the sat view, you can see the grey area that I assume is WDW property.

2. You have to be careful when you post stuff like this. Some would treat news like this like they would if you announced a fifth park. :goodvibes

What about using Garden Grocer to deliver some items to the resort before you arrive? We did that last trip and had plenty of gatorade, diet pepsi (my mom prefers) and some assorted breakfast-y type foods for grab & go. We also ordered 2 gallons of milk b/c my daughter was only 2 then and went through milk like crazy. You could get some crystal light to go things too I'm sure.

I find their prices shocking. Maybe food is cheaper here in the UK(doubt it though as I live in London) but $5 for a pack of 6 babybel(for protein, $4 for a loaf of bread or $4 for a jar of peanut butter seems very expensive to me. Plus the delivery fee of $12(plus surcharge at the moment) on top of it.
It just doesn't seem like they offer any promotions.

We're arriving on a Wednesday and one night we might take the Lynx bus to Walmart but not sure when we are going yet.

Riechen - what date do you go? If I go before you maybe I could mail you some crystal light for emergencies :)

Awww, that's very kind of you but I think we're arriving while you are still there(Wednesday 2nd of May)

Heva2015! You are adorable! Best suggestion I've seen on this thread!

I agree that Garden Grocer is ridiculously expensive! No, we do not all pay that much for food in the US. :) I would strongly consider that trip to WalMart. They even have their own store brand (Great Value) version of Crystal Lite. Much less expensive, and some great flavors!

Yeah there is a premium. Bread around here is a good bit cheaper than that. I try to pay $2.50 for a loaf of 100% whole wheat. I will say though Peanut Butter is ridiculously expensive right now!

It's loaded with more caffeine than coffee...and way more than other carbonated drinks...that's why it has addicts.

Diane Sawyer did a special about the people that live up in the mountains of kentucky and tennessee a couple of years ago and a part of it was showing kids that drank mountain dew from birth and their teeth were destroyed by age 10...it really shouldn't be sold in this country. They were putting it in baby bottles.

People 99% of the time are simply not bright enough on average to protect themselves. Anyone who disputes that is in la la land. Sad but true.

Ughh... So since there are stupid people, the government should ban it? No thanks! I'm smart enough to do things in moderation. If I want a Mt. Dew now and then, or a TastyKake, or a beer, or whatever, I should be allowed to have it. Personal responsibility, people...

Jim

I am now a Mio freak!! Love that I can control the strength, and yes I know you can with Crystal Light as well but it is just much more convenient. Enjoy!
