Diet Coke

Is everyone having a hard time finding full size cans of diet coke? I have been to three stores even WalMart and can't find it?
Our Sam's club has been selling the 24 packs of Coke products, not the usual 35 packs.

During the pandemic, since many restaurants and other places that typically sell Coke products were closed, and they usually get the syrup/concentrate in boxes, more cans were necessary for stores. Aluminum cans were/are in short supply. Therefore Coca-Cola reduced their "less productive" products. Maybe your area has more people buying diet Coke than usual and causing shortages.

I'm really bummed about it because caffeine free regular coke was one of the products they stopped making altogether. I complained, and they said "we'll be bringing it back in the future" Whenever that may be.

My husband is having trouble finding cans of root beer. I heard about the aluminum shortage too.
Oh Coke's Root beer is an issue here too. My wife and I only drink Diet Coke and my DS will only drink their root beer.

We had trouble finding caffeine-free Diet Dr. Pepper a few months ago, but it suddenly reappeared. Meanwhile we discovered the 16-oz bottles of Diet Dr. Pepper and decided it actually tastes better.

We get a lot of take-out and Diet Coke is readily available as a fountain drink.

I had been having trouble finding pepsi zero and was told by the Pepsi man at Kroger that there was an aluminum shortage d/t Covid. 🙄
I'm seeing it more regularly now.

Yeah, aluminum shortage. Around here I have usually seen coke, diet coke, and sprite. Any other variety of coke has been either gone completely or very hit and miss to find in cans.
I like Diet Dr Pepper and have gone mostly to plastic bottles. Finding it in cans is difficult.

Diet coke, coke zero so far are fine......but root beer, caffeine free colas and caffeine free dr pepper and a few others are hard to find.
The guy stocking told me quite awhile ago there was an aluminum shortage, not sure if that is still the reason.
This week for the first time in quite awhile, they are on sale. I go shopping today. I will see what there is and load up (8 limit). And go again tomorrow. Our supply is in shortage. DH live on Zero

I have a harder time finding caffeine free diet coke in cans. Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. Also noticed costco is out of diet coke often now and last they had it it went up like $2 in price.

Diet Coke has not been an issue here.

What I am having trouble with is soft cat food (Hartz Delectables) and spray stain remover for clothes (Zout, and Oxiclean spray).

Lots of crazy things still going on with the pandemic. There was a DrPepper shortage for awhile.

Yeah, cans are becomming hard to find. I haven't been able to find any Cherry Coke Zero for a while, but I saw some this week. They may be rotating, and now it's Diet Coke's turn.

There are two factors at work; the on-going aluminum can shortage and the shortage of the artificial sweetener that's used in Coke Zero (in particular). People staying at home have driven up demand for soda in general.

There is no shortage of aluminum, just the production to make cans, two new planst are supposed to open sometime in 2021. In the mean time Coke cut back on Caffeine-free Coke, Cherry Coke, Coke Zero and Fresca to focus on their other brands.

I'm not sure if the artificial sweetener shortage is still as big of an issue, it was reported by Coke to its investors back during the early stages of the coronavirus that they were having a disruption in its supply chain and some elements of the product came out of China.

You know, I can deal with a lot of things regarding this pandmeic, but a Coke Zero shortage is not one of them!
