We all headed to MGM since they had EMH this morning. We had a stradegy and it seemed to work. My one son would head over to the most popular ride to grab fastpasses and then we'd all meet at that ride, ride it, go to another popular ride, and then come back and use the fastpass. This way we knew we could at least get on 3 rides that morning. We did Rockin Rollercoaster-2X, T of T, Great Movie Ride Muppet Vision 3-D, Star Tours and let the boys hang out a little at the Honey I shrunk the kids playground.
We then had reservations at Mama Melrose's for lunch. We had a good meal and a nice waiter. There were things the kids were hungry for that were not listed on the lunch menu and they said no problem and made them special pizzas. Two of us had the chicken parm and the other 3 had pizzas. My boys ended their lunch with hazelnut cheesecake. It was a nice experience and got 20% using the DDE card. Just a note: we felt very fortunate to have ADR's throughout our vacation. People were turned away at almost every restaurant we went to. Also, we had originally made all our ADR's for 4 people and when my older son decided to join us on vacation, we had to change our original ADR's to 5. Eight of the eleven reservations I was able to change. The other three were in Disney's system saying they couldn't accommodate 5. When showing up at these three restaurants, they had no problem seating all of us.
When returning to AKL, our bus had to make a stop at BB. The bus driver opened his door and a family of 4 stood by the bus door and asked where to get a bus for BB. The bus driver didn't understand at first and said "you ARE at BB". Here the family was waiting on the bench at the bus stop right at BB. They didn't know they were sitting right at the entrance to BB. I thought the bus driver was going to pee himself. He said this is why he loves his job and is so worth it. He said funny things like this happen all the time.
Later in the evening, we went to AK since it had the EMH. It was AWFUL!!! Dinosaur was broken down, EE, Tricerotops, and Primevil Whirl were all shut down because of lightening. There was nothing to ride or do. Everything was either broken or shut down. We left there and got in at the Rainforest cafe dinner and just ate burgers and my one son got the banana cheesecake which he said was delicious. Was able to get 10% off using my AP. Day 5 coming up...
