Diego stage show... creepy?

Does anyone else think it's creepy that the person who plays Diego in the "Go Diego Go" live show is an adult? It creeps me out, and my son agrees.

I haven't seen the ads but it wouldn't creep me out. I would basically expect an adult to be doing a touring show, since the schedule would probably be against the rules for children working.

I just assumed the "Dora" on Dora live was also an adult...just like Blue was was an adult in "Blue's Clue's live", etc...

What age group were you thinking would be Diego? Is it a "face" person or a costume?

All of those "Cartoons Come to Life" shows creep me out!

We saw a Dora stage show last summer and though I didn't find the performers creepy, I thought the show itself was AWFUL. Bad music, bad writing. I felt badly for the performers who worked really hard to do the best they could with the crap they gave them.

We've seen the Doodlebops and the Wiggles and both of those were well performed and I found that I could enjoy them as an adult. But Dora was just awful.

We saw Clifford Live and all the kids were played by young adults, like maybe college age or so. It didn't bother me and Paul didn't even seem to notice it.

Dora was played by an adult in her stage show. I personally did not like it since the rest of the cast was in costumes...I had expected dora to be costumed a la Mickey Mouse...especially since the way they do all the characters is very pronounced.

Clifford did not bug me as much.

I don't know why I expected all the dora performers to be costumed--but I did.

I was thinking someone a little younger. It is not a costume, and the guy looks about 40. I didn't think about the child labor thing, and I was thinking someone in their early teens. Even a young looking adult wouldn't seem so off to me.

OK, that makes a little more sense. I'm just picture Diego (ala Mickey Mouse) and thinking "huh? of course it's an adult".

I was just thinking you were wanting a kid to play Diego because Diego is a kid on the show. I was obviously confused.
