Didn't win a thing!!!

BUT I STILL HAD A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right people, it's a post that talks about not winning...about seeing other people get dreams...and not complaining about it!!

We saw tons of dream fast passes and the dream ears (the kind that are given away, not the ones they are selling)...saw several dream people out and about and we weren't awarded a thing and we were absolutely fine with that! Most of the time we had completely forgotten about the promotion...we were just having too much fun to concern ourselves with whether or not we'd win something (shoot, what's the point with worrying about it...you're only one person out of the millions that visit in a year!!). On our last day, we saw a dream member giving a dream to a guy who was by himself...we weren't sure what the dream was as they were too far for us to hear anything, but I leaned over to my DH and told him how I thought it was really cool that a grown man on his own was being given a dream! We got a kick out of the adults wearing their dream ears proudly! We loved the window display at our resort that someone had since they were "family of the day!"

So many smiling faces, the CMs were absolutely wonderful our entire trip...it was a great reminder that the magic and happiness is what we create ourselves...not by what's given to us!

I haven't even seen anyone get anything. I've been a few times already this year and never got a thing. I see lots of people with stuff but never see them actually getting it. Strange.

Not as weird as you think. There are an average of 125 Dream FastPasses being awarded in Epcot each day, and 210 in each of the other three parks. There's an average of 130 sets of Pins & Lanyards being awarded each day, throughout the seven (FL & CA) parks and Downtown Disney; and fewer than 100 pairs of Dream Ears - and these figures don't even take into account the prizes awarded to postcard entries!

So, while we're seeing a lot of prizes, I bet if we really, really paid attention we'd realize we're seeing the same people over and over - well, with the FastPasses anyway. The Ears and Lanyards could have been won on a different day.

Thanks OP for the positive post! I am really surprised at the amount of people who have posted about being upset at not winning anything! We were there the last week of August and every now and then I thought about the YOMD promo, but never expected to win anything (and we didn't!). I did see some people with the Dream FP and my kids and I just said "Oh lucky them". So we were "losers" too who still had an absolutely wonderful, magical vacation at WDW!!

Just got back today - we didn't win a thing either, but still had an absolutely blast!! Didn't even see any dream teams & we hit all four parks in the 3 days we were there. Saw quite a few people with FP's around their necks, but that was about it. Saw alot of little kids doing pin trading & thought that was pretty cute. CM's were so patient!!

Overall, the crowds were practically non-existent and alot of things were walk-ons so that was a big plus for us.
