Didn't love the HS frozen sing a long. What did you think?

My kids loved it, I thought it was very funny.

We had watched it on youtube so I knew A&E stage time was limited, but the show was different from what we saw on youtube. The premise was the same, but the one liners between the two "historians" were very different.

It was the first thing we did upon arriving at Disney World. We loved it, even DF who hadn't seen the movie was in stitches. It set the tone for the rest of the trip for us.

We enjoyed it as well. Of course DD5 loved it, but I absolutely loved watching the dads belt out Let It Go!!

As someone else mentioned, I thought it might be a 'follow the bouncing ball' type thing....so I was pleasantly surprised. I've seen it 4 times....no child in tow. My dd, 21, has a friend that is on-stage, and I wanted to catch her. Took 4 tries but I did!
I really enjoyed the historians...thought their back and forth banter was pretty funny. The show had something for everyone...adults and kids. Honestly? I'm pretty much Frozen'd out. So if it has been all Anna and Elsa I wouldn't have liked it as much. But, I'm not an 8 y/o girl!

We just got back from our trip. We got a fp for the frozen sing a long at HS. It was the last thing on our itinerary for the day. We waited around for it in the rain. And stood in line in the rain for it. And we were so disappointed. My daughter liked it, so I guess that's all that mattered in the end. But my husband and I thought it was so poorly done. Anna makes a quick appearance at the beginning and at the end with Elsa. But throughout it's just some other people narrating. And snips of the movie.

Just curious what others thought?

I have the exact same comment . DD didn't complain but I was surprised that they didn't have the main characters lead it instead of 2 unknowns. For kids, the excitement is seeing Anna and Elsa. Wonder why they went with this decision?

We were disappointed. It felt really slapped together to me. Like Disney thought they needed to come up with a Frozen show and came with that in about a day. I don't get why they have the historians take up the whole show and IMHO they weren't really that funny.

Overall, it was meh and I would have regretted using a FP+ for it had there been any other good options for a FP+ at DHS to begin with.

We were there last Monday and got in the standby line for the 10:25 show when they said, "You'll probably get in if you jump in line right now." Well, we got in line, then it was show time and they announced it was canceled for technical difficulties. That was our only main day at HS and we figured with the first two shows canceled, it was something we just wouldn't be doing this year. We went back for Osborne Lights on Tuesday night and noticed there was an evening show so we decided to try it. We got right in, sat in the back section (a CM told us they really were the best seats in the house:), and really enjoyed the show. DH is 51, and I'm 48-traveling without kids this time:) We've only seen Frozen once, but I know all the songs from being an elementary school teacher! I thoroughly enjoyed watching the little girl next to me do all the hand motions as she sang--absolutely adorable!

i thought it was very enjoyable. A little something for all ages and Anna and Elsa not being onstage for the entire show was not a negative IMO. My DD11 and niece 7 also loved it.

Senior citizens here, and we have seen it 5 times. We love it!

I agree, we enjoyed the show, but the whole time DD kept asking where Elsa was?? It was a long show to sit through with her keep asking when Elsa would come out. It would have been nice for the characters to have been out longer.

I have heard if you are going for the concert, you will be disappointed. That said, the kids love it and every one of them know all the words and have a great experience singing with the Frozen characters. That's all that really matters.

Just saw it tonight. I had very low expectations, but we all enjoyed it and I have a DS8 and DS2. My DH and I thought the historians were hilarious. It didn't feel cheap to me at all, and I thought the Anna/Elsa time onstage was just about right. We did the last show of the day standby in the bleachers and it was fine.

If I had waited a long time in the rain, my perspective might have been different than what it was....but....

We (my mom, myself, DD11, DD9) went in October and really liked it. We had no idea what to expect. The story tellers were hilarious.

We walked right in (everyone in stand-by had already been let in). We chose to sit on the very last row up top (good place to rest your back). We liked the view from there too.

Now, if DH and my dad had come along, they would NOT have been impressed. My dad would have just left. My DH would have never even bothered to enter. ;)

Does anyone know where they will seat you with(or even w/o), a FP if you have someone in an ECV in your party? TIA!

We went into it with very low expectations. DH and I had visions of a bouncing ball under words with very little else and being surrounded by a ton of pre-schoolers screaming frozen songs at the top of their lungs.

Maybe as a result of going in with the low expectations, we loved it. We liked that the storytellers had some humor that was geared toward the adults in the audience. We thought the storytellers were funny. We liked that Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff showed up. We thought the computer generated backgrounds that went with the story were nice. We were surprised to find that however they did the sound system it manages to cover the sounds of screaming preschoolers, so you still hear the music, without the music being overly loud. DH and I would both go see it again without complaint, and DD loved it.

Ditto! Even DS19 loved it.

I went with a group of all adults. The others with me were really excited going in, but I had low expectations even though I'm a big Frozen fan. It's just a sing-a-long, how great could it be?

But we all loved it! It was one of the highlights of our trip. But we didn't care so much about how much stage time the characters got and thought the storytellers were hilarious. I did watch a video of a different showing on you tube when I got back and think your experience may vary by actor. There's definitely some improv in their performance, so some showings may be funnier than others.

That's exactly what I DID think of it! It's just a bouncing ball (snowflake) over the song lyrics as they play movie clips of all the songs, then speed-tell the story through all the non-song parts. I think the new song-along DVD will be the exact same thing on your tv instead of on 3 big theater screens.

I didn't mind going, because the other half of my group was on a ride I wasn't doing anyway. And I agree the storytellers were amusing and did a good job of making the show entertaining for non Frozen fanatics. But I'm careful about suggesting people go see it. I want to make sure it's clear they're going to watch a movie with the bouncing ball and a small stage set in front, with very short appearances by the 3 main characters.

We loved it. DH, DGD and I all loved it. Even DH, who is as Anti-Frozen as one can be, enjoyed it. The storytellers made it awesome.

Though I knew exactly what it was going to be when we went. I'd seen the entire thing on Youtube (it had only been out a couple of weeks by the time we went)

DH and I enjoyed it so much I plan to go back to see it when it's just he and I too. With the improv aspects it will be slightly different.
