We just got back from our trip. We got a fp for the frozen sing a long at HS. It was the last thing on our itinerary for the day. We waited around for it in the rain. And stood in line in the rain for it. And we were so disappointed. My daughter liked it, so I guess that's all that mattered in the end. But my husband and I thought it was so poorly done. Anna makes a quick appearance at the beginning and at the end with Elsa. But throughout it's just some other people narrating. And snips of the movie.
Just curious what others thought?
I have the exact same comment . DD didn't complain but I was surprised that they didn't have the main characters lead it instead of 2 unknowns. For kids, the excitement is seeing Anna and Elsa. Wonder why they went with this decision?
I have heard if you are going for the concert, you will be disappointed. That said, the kids love it and every one of them know all the words and have a great experience singing with the Frozen characters. That's all that really matters. We just got back from our trip. We went into it with very low expectations. DH and I had visions of a bouncing ball under words with very little else and being surrounded by a ton of pre-schoolers screaming frozen songs at the top of their lungs.
Maybe as a result of going in with the low expectations, we loved it. We liked that the storytellers had some humor that was geared toward the adults in the audience. We thought the storytellers were funny. We liked that Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff showed up. We thought the computer generated backgrounds that went with the story were nice. We were surprised to find that however they did the sound system it manages to cover the sounds of screaming preschoolers, so you still hear the music, without the music being overly loud. DH and I would both go see it again without complaint, and DD loved it.
