I've been losing weight for about 1 1/2 yrs. DH joined me about 7 mos. ago. I lost over 65 lbs. & he lost about 45 lbs. We didn't gain weight over the holidays and I'm starting to truly believe that we've adopted a new way of eating/living, rather than dieting. We exercised throughout and still ate sensible meals surrounding our celebration meals, where we indulged ourselves. We both drank wine, ate some desserts and savored some high-carb treats for Christmas day. I did a little baking, mostly for DSs (16 & 9) and made sure that any really tempting treats were made at times when we would share them with friends & family. I feel relieved that the holidays are over and now I know that we can treat ourselves, without a huge weight gain. On to Valentine's Day. I'm thinking chocolate covered strawberries!

Congratulations on making it thru' the Holidays! It can be tough, can't it?:headache: I just joined the WISHers yesterday--I'm trying to maintain a @110 lb. loss. I'm trying to remember portion control and daily exercise at this point, but I'm still tempted to eat a whole plate of cookies instead of just one! I just finished exercising, too--had to really force myself this morning, as I was Just NOT in the mood. Always glad afterwards. tho'! Once again, a big GREAT JOB for making it through a hard time of the year! Now...pass those chocolate covered strawberries!:hyper:

Congratulations on making such a positive lifestyle change!

I'm hoping to be where you are this time next year. :)

And those chocolate covered strawberries sound yummy! Sugar free chocolate for me though. ;)

Way to go! That's the only way to succeed--to make a lifestyle change. Sounds like you've been successful at doing that :)

Woo-Hoo, Sue!

Sounds like you've got this thing figured out!

To be able to have fun, eat the treats when you want, and still maintain your weight is AWESOME.

That's where we all want to be. :D

Way to go, Sue!! That is excellent news!! Keep up the great work! :)
