Didn't expect this in October

We're currently booked Oct 16-22 at POFQ. We had some funds come into our lives unexpectedly so I looked into upgrading to a Deluxe. The first part of our trip is pretty open but according to our TA and my own research on the last night (Oct. 21) Contemporary, YC, BC, WL are completely sold out, BWI only has standard water view left and not much left at AKL.

you better snag something quick......Id take that BWI water view anytime....if its overlooking the bay that would be awesome. Flying Fish cafe, epcot,boats,lit evenings, close to BC/YC for dining also. Big river Brewery,bakery..........

There's a big convention starting around the 21st, I can't remember the name but it's held at either the Dolphin or Yacht Club convention center.

I knew about Gartner so I wasn't shocked about YC/BC, and maybe not even Contemporary. WL kind of threw me. Up until our last night it still has a lot of availability, but according to the website only CL Deluxe rooms are left (TA says it is completely sold out).

BWI would be tempting if I wasn't concerned about the noise from the boardwalk keeping the kids up.

I just checked the dates of Oct 16-21 on the Disney site and every thing was available at WL and AKL ? It may just be the 21nd that has been booked up because the Gartner Symposium arriving .

I'd probably just stay at POFQ so you wouldn't have to move for the last night. You don't want to stay deluxe then have to move to a mod to finish the trip and with smaller kids not sure how the BW would affect their sleeping. Are you against staying at the Poly? The pool there is great and it's a fab resort.

That's our plan right now. It just makes sense especially considering we have tickets to MNSSHP that last night and will be getting back late anyways. If discount comes out for the Poly we may switch, but for now we are going to be staying at POFQ.

It is a little odd that they didn't offer free dining for the first part of our trip, but they offered it at a time when all of these deluxes are already full. The values and mods must be a lot emptier.
