Today was my son's Confirmation (Yea, he actually made it through!)
He had to be there an hour early for pictures. I had to work last night, so DH tells me to sleep a little longer....he'll take the kids and then I can meet him there shortly before 11. Well, guess who changed every clock in the house ahead except for HER OWN alarm clock!!! Yup, that would be me. So, by the grace of God, I wake up on my own at 10:45. I throw on my clothes, run a quick brush through my hair, and just make it to the church at 11
The, my son tells me he wants to go to Ponderosa afterwards to celebrate. So, off we go. Things really went down hill from there!! It was quite crowded, so we ended up at two different tables, with another table between us.
Then, I'm carrying Olivia and my plate and hers through the buffet. I'm also helping Selena get her food. She wants cantelope, so I set Olivia's plate down and start to get Selena some cantelope. I drop the cantelope into the vat of pudding. So, I'm trying to scoop the melon out of the pudding and, lo and behold, Olivia's plate of spaghetti slides off the buffet, down my leg and onto the floor. Spaghetti all over the floor, the entire side of my pants are caked in spaghetti sauce, and I still hadn't gotten the cantelope out of the pudding.
Well, after washing my pants off as well as I could, I go back to our table. It takes 35 minutes for our food to come.
So, finally we're done there. Bradley wants to go and get Kingdom Hearts 2 with his confirmation money. He has waited forever for that game to come out. Neither of our two stores in town have it. He's so bummed.
And, now after a grand total of four hours sleep, I am off to another fine day (night) at work.
Tomorrow can only be better, right?!?!
