DIDDY OR DIDN'T HE?

Anyone watch the new documentary on Netflix?

A coworker was telling me about it yesterday. She really liked it. She said while Diddy's arch enemy, (hip-hop artist) "50 Cent" put up money to co-produce it. Diddy shot his OWN footage of himself. He's such a narcissist, he insisted on filming everything about himself, even moments where he is disparaging others or is (suspected) of plotting stuff. This is a compilation made by DIDDY.

Like how Diddy was onstage dancing & celebrating that Biggie Smalls had been recently gunned down in a drive by shooting, Biggie's wife at the corner of the stage looking broken, it had happened so soon, and Diddy singing about it, not caring at all. My coworker wonders if Diddy would have become as famous as he was had Tupac & Biggie still been alive and able to continue to influencing hip-hop. Their murders are still two of the biggest unsolved crimes.

Diddy was known to hang out with known gang members. WHY? Were they paid by him to kill Tupac & Biggie? The way we see footage of Diddy dispassionately take down other people who were in the way of his career? Or we see how he wanted what others had. He follows them, gets in with them, then gets rid of them and takes over their careers and their girlfriends.

She said there is footage of the male prostitute who was paid to cross state lines, get drugged up and have sex with Cassie for hours/days. How he said he had seen Diddy put his hands on Cassie a few times. YET he kept going back for a few years :sad2: because he was paid about $8000 each time.

It's a 4 part series, my coworker said definitely worth the watch.

I watched it before I posted the question on this thread I was surprised no one had resurrected this thread to mention it. I agree it's worth a watch. I watched it without my husband but now he's interested in it.

I thought it was telling how Diddy was videoing himself so frequently it spoke to his hubris. I did think the first episode was slow but it got better in pacing later on. The other thing is that while it good and all these people were speaking out about Diddy's actions they also were highly complicit in his actions, as one might think being in the Biz but none the less it was off-putting how they didn't seem to be as concerned with how integral their roles were. Yes Diddy was a power player but it was clear that people were also metaphorically drunk in that atmosphere that was that scene.

Yes, my coworker mentioned that too. Diddy started very young, at about 19. There were many times where people more powerful could have kept him in check, especially after seeing him take down others, becoming dangerous. But, nobody did. Instead everyone was drunk on being in the same atmosphere and possibly become more powerful themselves if he liked having them around. :sad2:

I love this comedian, Josh Johnson, of The Daily Show. He makes a few hilarious observations about 50 Cent getting Diddy's footage.

Watch through to the end on this one: :lmao:

:rotfl2:
