I'm a character attendant in Epcot

Yes, you'll be a guide, but from what I understand once you do a ride, you are assigned to something else, like the front end greeting guests etc. So this all happens in the space of your 8 hr shift (or however long it is) So you keep rotating, you don't stay at one function the whole time. Have a blast, and please do introduce yourself to my son, I miss him so much!!!

AWESOME!! I haven't met anyone yet who works there but I haven't gone to work at the actual ride yet. That's tomorrow. But when I see him I will def. introduce myself to him! It will be so nice to have friends. I will be sure to give him your message.

Okay now I AM seriouslly excited about doing this job! I was hoping that I would get to do both jobs!

I recieved my assignment yesterday and I am at the Great Movie Ride!!! It says on my training schedule that I am training to be a tour guide, but I don't know if that means the actual tour guide or if that is just what they call everyone that works there. There is a picture of a guide costume on my sheet but a guy is wearing it and there is another picture of a girl wearing the chinese outfit. I am excited though! This was one of the top rides I wanted to work at.

Thats the main position at GMR. The other two are Gangster and Bandit (they people who hi-jack the vehicle if you've ever been on the ride before...You only get trained in those after you've been at the ride for a long while)...

There are several positions...
-Front Usher is greeting outside.
-Valet is stroller parking (my favorite )
-Casting Director is watching over the preshow line and opening doors
-Head Usher is watching the handicap access rope and watching preshow line
-ADB/ADA is loading and unloading
And then you have the Vehicle positions where you're actually doing tours/reciting the script...

These work on a rotation I can go into a lot more detail if you want...

It's a lot of fun and there's plenty of great people working there!! It's the kind of job where you are always on your toes

Her name is Amanda! I've only met him once though (if we are even talking about the same Pat...I'm talking of Pat M).

My daughter is a character performer who auditioned for a "face" position on Tuesday. She says I can't tell anyone who she is, though. We've always told her she looks exactly like this character, right down to the blonde hair and blue eyes. And I sometimes thought her friends were "mad", however none of them were hatters.
