I love polls! I'm just trying to get an idea of how many folks were enticed to book a vacation that had not planned and how many modified what was already booked.

I just booked our Mardi Gras Trip!! This year we have both kids out the entire week so we were looking for a deal. This deal is almost the same deal we got for our Thanksgiving trip. It would have been real sweet if late February weren't peak season. Still can't figure that one out.

We were planning on going, but now I'm wishing we'd pre-booked and modified our reservation :(

I think I'll be calling a couple times every day between now and 45 days out to change to Pop.

TA changed my April 11-April 18 Poly trip from room only with 7 day hoppers to package with same and I saved $1430 from my original booking. I know it said there were blackout dates, but it worked on WDW website when I tried it and she has me booked! Again!

Nope!

It didn't make sense financially since I can only go for 5 nights. Even with the $200 gift card, I saved more money by spending more to buy 1 annual pass for me so that I could apply the 40% AP room rate code.

Saved an extra $100 going this route versus using the new package deal...plus I don't have the same cancellation restrictions.

It always makes sense to crunch the numbers!

I was going in June no matter what and had resigned myself to paying rack rate. I am THRILLED that is done 7 months early!!

We booked it even though we're only staying 6 nights. Adding an extra night of the dining plan still saved us money... Yay! And now we have more meals to play with.

Woohoo! Got it modified to Pop Century!

Calling back over and over does work.

Yes, very happy to be able to extend our 4 day Feb trip:cool1: and a gift card too woo hoo.

yep--was gonna book the exact same deal anyway, but resigned to only getting a 20% off room rate from AAA, not during Value season.

Saved us $428 more than the discounted room would have been. :woohoo:

Got a ressie at POFQ as soon as possible. Would have liked to do WL but wasnt planning one so this is the most responsible option.

We decided that we were not going to go to WDW next year. I had already planned a solo trip using my partner's Hilton Honors Reward points to stay for free at the Hilton. I will already have my tickets and with the announcement of the Pirates and Princesses Party dates, I will be all set to have a truly magical solo trip.

Sorry Disney, you just can't beat a free room at the Hilton with access to EMH. :thumbsup2

I wasn't planning on going but with that offer I couldn't resist.
Got the Beach Club May 22-29 with 8-day park hopper, table service dining plan...all for just over $2,800 for two.
What a wonderful way to spend our 5th wedding anniversary!:lovestruc

It doesn't work out for me since I have an AP. It wouldn't save us much more than an AP rate would anyway.

Really wanted it to work out for us so we could go back before September but it just isn't really worth it for us. We have 4 disney adults and 3 kids and so pricing out 2 rooms (even did this online to take advantage of the lower ticket day requirements) it came out to be right under 1800.00. We're going in Sept/Oct with the free dining bounceback for 3100.00 for 8 nights versus the 6 this package has.

While that's a HUGE difference in price....once we add 4 sit down meals at 150.00 a piece (which is what we do even without the dining plan) and 6 nights of other food/meals at 100.00 each day, that adds 1200.00 to the 1800.00 total. So it would really only save us 100.00 and we'd be losing 2 nights and that 'free' food for those nights as well.

Oh well, still hoping for another trip :)

We have a trip planned in March, and we are renting points for 4 nights from DVC and staying POP for 2, and that was cheaper than this deal at a deluxe so we are not using this deal.

We were planning on having to pay rack rates to go on our trip in June anyways, and *hoping* that Disney would be affected enough by the economy to have to offer SOMETHING after June 6th, but we figured even if they did it wouldn't come out until April or May...
This is PERFECT! We were planning on going for 7 nights anyways; now we saved $750/room at CBR and booked 3 rooms - so that added up to be HUGE. I almost wanted to see if we could all fit into 2 rooms and book at a deluxe, but wiser minds prevailed...

I just got off the phone after being on hold for 30 minutes to hear that April 8-19 are blacked out from this promotion. Just thought I would give others a heads up.

We are waiting to hear back on a quote for FW Cabins for 8 nights, April 25 to May 3rd. Right now we are planning on going with a timeshare exchange thru II (trying for DVC but not getting our hopes up) for off property. Adding in the $400 for a car and parking fees might make it almost equal to stay on property with the deal, as we have to buy tix anyways! Plus,. we have a good amount of $$ on our disney rewards card....

it would be either the cabins or as family suites - we are 5 (13/10/7) so I think cabin would be better -

any comments on that?
