Did you see Travel Channel tonight?

Tonight on TC they had "America's Top 10 Hotels" as according to Samantha Brown who hosts "Great Hotels". She picked her top 10 hotels since the show has started (she has profiled over 200 top hotels!!). By the way, BC & YC will be profiled on Sunday, March 31st!

Well, the Grand Floridian ranked at #5 overall and she gave it "Best Theme Hotel for Grownups". It looked fantastic! They even showed the Cinderella's glass coach which you can rent for an exorbitant amount of money!

But what interested me the most-- she ranked 2 hotels in the DVC Concierge Collection! Tanque Verde Ranch in Arizona was #9 I believe. I don't remember what it was "The Best...." at. I definitely want to go there.

Plus, the Broadmoor in Colorado was ranked #4 (I think) and listed as "Best Mountain Retreat". It was GORGEOUS!

If you can catch this show it gives a little more insight into a few of our options with DVC. I know a lot of you tend to think that CC is too many points but these hotels I saw.... WOW!!! Now if I can rent my points and get a great cash rate....

She's profiled a lot of fabulous hotels and, luckily, many of them are among our DVC options. I'm surprised she's done 200 hotels -- seems like I keep seeing the same ones over and over....but I watch anyway.

I saw bits and pieces of it. I did catch the #1 rank. When the did they review I thought the Atlantis in the Bahamas looked really cool. I'm going to have to try to catch the whole thing.

I just posted on another thread listing some other episodes showoing on the Travel Channel. We go to the Broadmoor every August and I can honestly say the show didn't do it justice. It is one of the most peaceful beautiful places I've ever been. The air is so crisp and clean. The resort overlooks the Will Rogers Shrine on the side of Cheyenne Mountain. You can hear the chimes every quarter hour. There is a great spa at the resort. Lots of unique shops in Colorado Springs and Mannitu Springs. Large Outlet Mall in Castle Rock. I look forward to going to the Broadmoor as much as I do WDW. And, no, I don't work for the Colorado Convention and Tourism.

I had marked our calendar weeks ago about the show last night. I specifically wanted to see about Tanque Verde Ranch.....it's probably the next place we will chose to vacation. It looked like a lot of fun....my kids will love it (DH will too).
