The movies are so darn expensive. I bet you could buy a new shirt and tie for what you would pay for 2 movie tickets, a tub of popcorn and a large coke.

A friend saw it and did not really care for it...are you sure you wouldn't rather watch Pride and Prejudice? It was really wonderful. Such a "guy" flick that Pride and Prejudice

My hubby saw it and wasn't impressed. He said there just wasn't much to it. He said the best thing in it was Jamie Foxx. He is one of the managers at our local AMC theatre, so he screened it and said he definately wouldn't pay to see it. I don't think it's doing that great at the box office.

Its an okay movie. I liked it, but I wouldn't pay to see it again. I thought that the lead actors did a good job, but it was missing something. I just can't put my finger on it. Plus you have two movies that are supposed to be really good coming out today - Harry Potter and Walk the Line. Oh, its going to be a good weekend!

I've never paid to see a movie more than once. Harry Potter will be a DVD I buy, but not see in the theater. Walk the Line? Eh? Johnny Cash isn't all that exciting to me, though I have a greatest hits CD by him.

I'm going to see Walk the Line for sure. Never a huge fan, but it's not a concert. I think he led an interesting life and it's getting awesome reviews.

I actually really enjoyed Jarhead, but it is definately not a movie you want to take anyone under 16, or a prude to. It was good, the acting was good, but it wasn't your typical "war" movie.

I agree. The Santa hat scene was hilarious.

SSB saw the premier in Toronto, and is a very good, interesting film. Was second favorite though... "Capote" with Philip Seymour Hoffman was fantastic!

DH and I saw it and we both enjoyed it. He loves war movies, and I don't, but I still liked this one.

My DH, a Gulf War I (Army) vet saw it last night and left about 15 minutes/half an hour before it was over. He truely had high hopes for it and usually loves war movies but he HATED it!! He thought it was terrible, disgusting, totally unrealistic (in how the marines were portrayed).

He thought it made marines look bad in so many ways and that it was, indeed a political, anti-war and anti-Bush movie.

FWIW, from a Gulf War I vet.
