Did you play laser tag as a kid?

Oh man, all the time. Well, not really as a "kid" but in college. We liked the LaserQuest establishment and would go every Saturday night for the late night "Iron Man" games that were 45 minutes of play, all free-for-all with no official teams. We loved it and got to be quite good too!

My first time seeing an in-person laser tag place was in the mid-'80's during a trip to Dallas. It was Photon, which was a brand sold for home use and had a TV show too (competitor to the officail Laser Tag brand which also had home equipment and a cartoon). My mom let me play and I thought it was the coolest thing! So much so that I begged her to take me back to that mall before we left so I could do it one more time. It would be a while before we had any laser tag establishments locally.

It’s really fun for adults. You can just google to find if a franchise is near you. There is a home version as well at toy stores.

I played once at a corporate offsite event. We got to aim at everything and anything since there were sensors everywhere on all the participants.

But when I was in high school, a bought a Worlds of Wonder Lazer Tag set to use with friends who also bought them. I think they were really cheap because the company just went out of business and a ton of them were available on closeout. They weren't terribly advanced though - just one sensor we wore I think. It just made noise but don't recall it doing much else.

There are some cool laser tag places in BC, Canada just to let you know.
Thanks. I know places as my kids have been just never really sparked my interest even though I am sure it is a lot of fun. Would go with a group of friends or work if asked but not really something I would think of planning.

Yes. Big Photon fan.

Remember these series:

and

Those were the shows I had mentioned. Photon was pretty bonkers! It was live-action and weird with like space heroes and monsters. Lazer Tag Academy was animated and a bit mroe straight where Lazer Tag was a sport.

Photon had a really dark story. I felt it was far more mature even though the monsters were pretty ridiculous. The Lazer Tag cartoon was fun.
