Did you pass ROFR on or around Sept 11th?

We put in for a second contract at AKV this summer.

8/18 - Passed ROFR
9/15 - Closed (sellers were a little slow with their docs)
9/30 - Points Loaded and Viewable on DVC Member Site

An update on mine, as I passed ROFR on 9/11.... Yesterday I received in the mail my copy of the closing documents and title information. I also was refunded a $50 estoppel fee as I overpaid in error and thought I had to pay that as well. Just waiting on Disney now to get me the information. I'm not sure if it will be tied to my current DVC account sign in (as different resorts and UY) or if I will get a new membership card. I logged in today and it didn't show my new resort.

A new UY = a new member #.

passed ROFR on 9/5.
closing documents returned 9/19 with full payment
was suppose to close today but seller didn't return documents or answer emails from Broker so now wonder if I actually have a contract.

That always sucks. Maybe they are just very busy and need a few extra days. I hope it works out for u.

A new UY = a new member # and login.

No, it does not. If things are titled the same DVC can set it up so it's one login and you have a drop down to select which UY you are working with. It is correct that there will be a second member number for the second UY though.

UPDATE Seller finally signed and returned documents and deed was filed and now just waiting for Disney to get info . Probably another two weeks to get transfer of points so I'm relieved. I already have a member number so just need to get transfer of points before Nov1 which is when I want to reserve my vacation. Long process compared to direct but its definitely worth it. Shut out to jason at Timeshare store and Brenda at Magic Vacation for their quick responses. Would use them again in a heart beat.

Glad to see you Sept 11th'ers getting your docs. Hope that means mine are right behind you (9/18 ROFR pass date).

I have changed my user name, I was Nicole in wi (was on this thread).

Everyday after work I anxiously go up to the mailbox hoping my new ID card is in the mail and I could log on to post that I have it from Disney. This was my timeframe (all compiled into one as I had some updates split between posts as they occurred)

9/11 - received notice that I passed ROFR
9/19 - received closing docs from title company to complete
9/20 - mailed out check and documents to title company
9/24 - received notice from title company the contract closed
9/29 - received hard copy of signed closing docs and title information

Mine were in my email this morning! Hopefully this means we will make our Oct 13 close date!!

Frustrated and not sure what the hold up is. Our ROFR was delayed two weeks by disney- we finally passed and I was super excited to be able to close and book our trip at 6.5 months out- So ROFR passed Sept 11th and now 24 days later we are STILL waiting for our closing docs. When I have talked to the title company and to our broker they have said "I should have it to you by the end of the week"- obviously not the case. Im to the point where if I don't get them tomorrow I think I'll email and ask what exactly the hold up is and if i should just start looking for another contract. Normally I m a patient person but we had our contract accepted back on July 26th and this process seems to be taking much longer than most. I guess if I didn't want to travel next May I wouldn't be so frustrated but at this point we will be lucky to book at five months.

Yeah something is not right. I passed ROFR on Sept 8th and Disney already added the contract to my account.

You should call today and find out what is going on.

I hope it gets sorted out for you.

DisneyFirstTime10, did you contact the place? Curious what they said. It seems ridiculous you haven't received your closing docs.

With my first contracts (that the sellers defaulted on) the estoppel process took around 25 days. I think I passed ROFR on July 7 or 9 and didn't get closing docs until August 1.

In my case, the sellers owed more than I was paying. I wonder if that could be the issue with other long estoppel processes?

Hi All! I called the title company yesterday- its a reputable one that many use on here- and I asked what was going on. I explained that I didn't want to come across as impatient or pushy but that its been a long time and all the emails I get say that I will have the docs soon, and they never come. So- she looked my file up and said they were waiting on one form (or something to that effect) which they got in a few days ago. She apologized and said they were swamped and trying to get to them asap and said that she should have the info to my broker today....... So again, waiting. I told her that I just wanted to know if there was something I should be concerned about because if so then I was going to bid on another contract. She said no- that all was good. This process is frustrating me. Next time I go about it I don't think I will pick dates for our trip until AFTER the points come in.

I am considering moving our trip- because honestly I am very worried about what will be available second week of May once I finally can book- Im a planner so not knowing when we are going is driving my nutty- I like to have plane tickets, restaurants planned, etc.... this uneasy feeling is getting to me. Now with that said- I am STILL beyond excited to be a DVC member and trying not to focus so much on the unknown-

Thank you all for listening and I promised to keep you updated!

I am with 'ya, I like to plan far in advance and know what is going to happen. I just logged into my DVC account and pretended to book a week stay from May 10 - 17th.

Here is what is showing as NOT available for that timeframe -
AK Jambo - Deluxe Studio (Club Level) and 2 Bedroom Lock Off (Club Level)
Everything else at ALL DVC's onsite is currently available.

Since it looks like you want to stay at AK, Jambo house is showing limited availability for Studio & 1 bedroom (value) and 1 bedroom villa (club level) and 2 bedroom lock off villa (value). Jambo House has Savannah View as "best" availability for all tiers. Kidani has all types as "best" availability.

In early Sept we stayed at Jambo House with a Savannah View and it was awesome.

If I were in your shoes, knowing current availability I would stop stressing a bit. If you want me to check a different timeframe, let me know.

SO HELPFUL! Thank you! You are right- whatever we get we will be happy with. We will be in Disney after all :)

The main reason for lots of availability is because your dates are still past 7 months. So as of now, only home resorts can be booked. In about a week everyone in DVC will be able to book your days. As long as your flexible I'm sure you will find a room somewhere. However you may not be able to take advantage of your home resort.

As of 10/7/14

Non-Home Resort: You can book your arrival as far out as May 7, 2015.

Home Resort: You can book your arrival as far out as September 7, 2015 for a stay up to September 14, 2015.
